Didn't see that one coming. Can't blame him though if that's true about his pay. Fedor was the one he wanted and now that's not possible. Would have been good to see him against Big Nog though but never mind.

Couture's after retiring again. Don't blame him. The only fight left for him imo, was the Fedor fight. But that can't happen now since Fedor has signed with M-1. That's a big double kick in the balls to the HW division in the UFC.

Thats a loss, I'm a big fan of Couture's

Let's hope he signs for M-1 then.  The fight with Fedor has to happen.

Wish he'd fight one more time so we could savour it a bit more, knowing it was his last. Him and Fedor would have been a dream match. The UFC have fucked up big time here.

Don't think that can happen as Dana Shite has made a point of saying that "when" Randy wants to come back he's still under contract to the UFC.

What was the problem with getting Fedor on board??

Cash?

Plenty of problems. Fedor wanted to compete in Sambo competitions. Obviously the UFC weren't keen incase he gets injured etc. I think there were other requests too like having events in Russia and even having other Red Devil fighters compete in the UFC as well.

Personally I hope Mark Hunt, Josh Barnett and Arlovski (after his next fight) head to M1 now.

No, don't think it was the cash. Fedor wanted to be allowed to fight in this Sambo competition but the UFC wouldn't let him is basically what it boils down to i think.

And no i don't really like Dana at all. He thinks he's Vince fucking McMahon. I appreciate that he's played a big part in making MMA what it is. He's got a shitty attitude though.

 :lmao

I just got a mental image of him perched on top of the Octagon with a mike and vains popping etc etc

I know what you mean about him but he just comes across as a likeable guy to me

I've heard a few people talk about how they dont like him and it surprises me

Me too.

The end result should be the same all things considered but there's been far bigger upsets than that would be so far this year.

Sylvia/Vera should be interesting too.

Think Sylvia is gonna walk all over Vera myself.

Have they any plans to start showing the events live over here?

Silva is a joy to watch. He's so elegant and yet devastating at the same time. Pity there's not much competition for him in the division. He made them all look bad. I'd like to see him fight Hendo.

Can't wait to see Lesnar fight. See what he's made of. Think he'll do well!!

Oh and i won €250, i picked Bonner, Okami, Tim and Anderson. So i enjoyed the card even if 7777 thought it was shite.

I actually thought that Franklin would grow in confidence after surviving the first round but Silva just destroyed him again. If there are no quality opponents for him perhaps he will move up a weight.
I thought the Alvin Robinson Vs. Jorge Gurgel was the fight of the night.

Can't wait to see Brock Lesnar fight. He is fucking massive and his wrestling skills should be up to scratch. He has been MMA training for 2 years now so if he can sort his striking and his ground game he could well be a serious threat

Are you kidding man. He had to be carried to his corner, Anderson folded him just before the bell. Can't see Anderson going up a weight. That division is pretty stacked and it's up to the UFC to bring in some top class MW to fight him.

No I am not kidding. Yes he was carried to his corner but he seemed to come out for Round 2 looking more confident than he did for Round 1. Maybe that was a show of bravado. Bottom line is Silva has his number and bar a lucky strike I cant see Franklin beating him.

Maybe they will find the fighters who have previously beaten him and get them in the UFC.

EDIT:
Silva has lost to Ryo Chonon - Submission(2004); Yushin Okami - DQ(2006) ; Daijo Takase - Submission(2003) and Luiz Azeron - Decision (2000)

That's not what you said though. You said you thought he would come out confident BECAUSE? of what happened in the first round. Anderson picked him to pieces.

Ya, I've been watching TUF. There's only seems to be one or two decent fighters. Did you see the one where Hughes gathered everyone in a circle and said he only had two fights left in him, and then they started the melodramatic music? It was so cringey.
