Shame Gini's and Origi's shot's didn't go in, would have been two goals of the season.

What a performance, was expecting a 1-0 win at the most.

If City draw a game and we beat Boro by one more goal than they win by, we get 3rd right?
Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"

Brilliant.  Loved that formation and performance.

Too often in these sort of matches we dominate possession but don't always the test the keeper that often.  Today, our shooting boots were on, and it was spectacular.  So many chances created, and everyone was confident to have a go.  Divock wasn't great in the first half, but he looked a different player in the second.

Phil and Dan were superb.

You can stuff your "Carragher commentating on our games" crap, your "but but we never beat a Bilic side" crap and your "West Ham will turn up today" crap up your arses!

4 goals without reply, three more points and a very good looking goal difference. We're finishing this season strong!

Not quite the 2-7 I thought, but yup that warrants it ;D

DON'T FUCK UP VS BORO.

Finally, we collectively as a team could qualify for the CL, not a season like the Suarez one, where it did seem like a bit of a false dawn and we were unprepared for the CL without him.

Get in!

4-0!
That's more like it! Liked how we came out in the 2nd. We took charge of the game and got the second goal. That killed the game. Sure, West Ham probably should have had a penalty just before our third, but it wasn't given and we capitalised. Good stuff. MOTM performance from Coutinho. 2+1. I think we got the kind of game we wanted, but I also believe we shaped it ourselves to some degree. Sturridge makes the runs we need and it was very good to see. Now let's hope we make third. We deserve it.

Fantastic professional performance from the boys today. They kept their composure when they needed to and then attacked with great fluency especially in that second half. Once we got the second we looked a different team again. Loved Coutinho in that position I think we have seen a glimpse of the future there. Daniel did well too, and great to see him last most of the match. If he could just keep his fitness up to a high standard I'd keep him, because we need options. Good to see Origi score as well, hopefully that will help his confidence. I said before going into that last game on a good win could make all the difference.

Finally made up for the manager that the change of tactics worked for him, just one win away now, come on Reds we can do this.

Also, Secret Agent Ayew was up to the task today.  Great planning by the club to not sign him 2 years ago.  All planned I tell ya.  :P

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/570486/Arsenal-Swansea-Newcastle-target-Andre-Ayew-discusses-Liverpool-dream

According to reports, Swansea, Arsenal and Newcastle are all considering bids for the Marseille forward.

The Ghana international is expected to leave French football this summer, with a host of teams across Europe trailing him.

But Liverpool appear not to be one of those, the club Ayew says he supported as a boy and still does.

“All my life I have been a Liverpool fan,” Ayew told Sky Sports.

"When I was young I was watching the Liverpool games.

“Steven Gerrard is my favourite player. It will not be easy to see him leave in the summer, but we all need a new challenge.”

Thought Phil was excellent. Manager deserves some credit for using him that way.

I still love Sturridge. The team sitting on its hands waiting for him to come back in 14/15 was awful, so I'm glad we're not dependent on him anymore, but he's a great player. Felt like a flashback seeing him and Phil play the way they did today.

it's not fair on other clubs really if we win goal of the month, every month, with worldies.   They should have a 2nd division for all other clubs goals.

Very well played apart from being disappointed in Origi when he didn't pass to Sturridge.

Brought out the loudest scream from my lungs today. Delighted that he grabbed a goal tho. Still a little dozy on the ball occasionally, but far more positives to take from that for Divvy today.

Champagne moment (and there were a few contenders) for me was that little burst of pace from Sturridge to lose his man for a goal. Lovely, lovely stuff.

So pleased we set up to have a go today, rode our luck at times and it wasn't perfect but got the job done. 4 clean sheets on the bounce away from home as well, a decent stat we will take into next season.

It's easy to forget the clean sheets and the upturn in Mignolet's form after today's performance, which was like the pre Xmas games.
