I noticed that during the game, hard to tell what the guy on the far right (ha) is saying - first part looks like "fuck off you bell end", but can't make out the rest. It was straight after Sterling and Luiz collided right in that corner and Luiz had to go off so I assumed the extra vitriol was for that, but with Chelsea fans you can never rule out it being more sinister.

I don't think we should ever stop giving Sterling abuse when we play them as long as it isn't racist. It clearly affects his performance when he plays. Don't think he's had a good game against us yet. The moment we go soft on him is the day he'll punish us.

Check out Ian Wright's recent two part documentary on racism in English football, 'Out of their Skin' - it's on ITV Hub. There's a huge section specifically on Paul Canoville and the abuse he got from his own fans. Shocking. Other black players at the time comment on how they would have quit football if they got the abuse that Paul did - given how much crap they'd have been getting anyway and still stuck with it, goes to show how bad it was for Canoville.

Definitely worth watching anyway - from a LFC player perspective Barnes and Brewster also feature heavily.

To be honest the booing of sterling I get behind as it clearly rattles him most times he played us which is good as it also effects the team, but after this he has certainly gained a lot of respect from me coming out against that shit rag of a newspaper and spelling out exactly it is they do and what agendas they push forward.
