As above. Uses your XBMC to download torrent movies and "live play" them as they are downloading.

There's even a built-in proxy for getting around blocked torrent sites in the UK.

I would echo that.

I updated mine through nito and I've been getting script errors continually the last few days.

Uninstalled and deleted everything else related to xbmc through cyber duck on my atv2, reinstalled and it's fine now.

Yes once you have deleated XBMC and reinstaled it you add the wizard in the same was as you did, there is also an added extra that helps you add other addons, not used it myself yet but they seem to think it's a good thing.

Not sure if my istream is working properly - if I go to a recent movie like Bad Neighbours or Amazing Spiderman, it doesn't return any links...is this the same for everyone else?

Anybody else updated to Gotham and having issues with buffering?

When I pause the video, it no longer buffers like it used to. Instead, the cache only fills whilst the video is actually being played making some streams very difficult to watch. Used to be easy before to leave it on pause for a bit and then watch it when it had buffered some.

Googled and checked on the XBMCHub forums but can't find much by way of explanation/fix.

Did you update or uninstall and reinstall with a fresh version?

I had various issues after updating so I started again.

Much better.

Could people list all the plugins they're using :P? We have the Raspberry Pi set up in the living room and so far I have.

Noobroom - Paid the premium on this for $6.00 a month, that covers all movie and TV needs in HD.
FootyReport (LOF) - £3.50 a month, all the footy sorted in HD
YouTube
4OD
iPlayer
itvPlayer

The Yatse remote app on Android is boss, 'send to XBMC' for videos found whilst browsing is a nice feature too.

Struggle to think of what else to whack on it.

Also for those using a Raspberry Pi, use OpenELEC rather than Raspbmc, run the bulk of it from a USB drive rather than SD Card - and overclock it to it's maximum. Anything less is just too slow for me.

I use iStream for TV/Films and FTV for live UK TV (works great out of the UK).

TV guide Dixie is boss as well. MUCH faster these days after the update.

I also use OpenElec running from USB on a Pi overclocked to turbo.

It should work with FTV/FilmOn/ExpatTV/NotFilmOn.

I have no listings available today for some reason though.

Try XBMCTorrent and iStream.

I find the former more reliable. Good selection of HD and 3D films as it uses tPB.

Funny how people seem to prefer OpenElec to RaspBMC.

I've built two boxes, one for myself and one for my brother. My one runs RaspBMC and is great - dead fast once the overclocking setting is enabled. I'm made up with it.

Did exactly the same for my brother but it was unstable as fuck, crashed loads and was generally very unreliable. I went with OpenElec instead and it seems to work fine but even when overclocked it isn't as fast as my RaspBMC Pi. Admittedly I've got it on the "Modest" setting though.

Oh, what does this Dixie TV Guide add-on do?

My most used addons are mashup and p2p streams. I have istream installed but don't use it apart for the skinning options it uses. p2p streams can be great some days and other days it's garbage but usually find that come match days there's always a reliable stream to watch.

When it comes to technology I don't have the first clue, I have read through this thread and still don't know what this XBMC is.

I saw one advertised for sale on EBAY that said it had movies, Sky Sports and other bits pre-installed so I thought I would look into what is actually is, can any one here explain for me what it is in layman's terms please.

Is it a separate box which plugs into your tv? if so how is it any different to plugging the laptop into the tv?

I currently watch LOF online through subscription, have used Now Tv and Blinkbox for movies. Would there be any added benefit from investing in this device and would I find it easy to operate?

Any help would be appreciated.

XBMC is simply the software, you can add stuff to it. For example you can download the LOF plugin to it, then you can access all those channels through XBMC.

XBMC can be installed onto many devices, including your PC. Many people just put it on a Raspberry Pi, a cheap credit sized computer you can connect to your television with an HDMI cable. Cost about £40 to get with all the things you need. You can control the Raspberry Pi with your phone or tablet.

There isn't currently an XBMC plugin for Now TV but it is in the works, however there any many more plugins you can get to sort your movies out. If you're interested the people on here can help get you set up.

You could also try XBMC on your PC first to see what the deal is.

XBMC should never be PAIDED for it's a free-ware media player. To find out more you should sign up to XBMCHub. From there you can download it to your PC/Tablet. Yes there are boxes that you can buy but as I say XBMC is free-ware and it's possably the best around. I love it and my little one is never off it. She watches TV series that she loves through this. TVonline is a good app, GoTv, Gofilms are other good ones. I am sure others on here have there own fav's. Download it through XBMCHub and you should have no problems. They also have a fourm which tells you all you need to know.

Thanks so much for that advice.

I guess the fee was for the box rather than the software and someone has pre-loaded the apps to save trouble?

Would this be my best option or is it safe to just download it to my laptop?

Download it to your laptop and give it a try.

Istream is prob the best addon and YouTube is probably the best place to learn how to use and install them.

Yes the box usualy comes with it pre-loaded and it's the box you pay for. You should have no problems with it on your laptop. I have it downloaded on 4 laptops at home and one Tablet (samsung 7.5) all working well. You may also want to check out Navi-X which you will find in programs. It can have some good links to films and sports channels. In Video's for sport check out Sports Devil you may have to try a few links but they do work. Since I have downloaded it I have fond it can help pass way the night when there is nothing on the Box. Hope you like it and have fun with it.

Hi all, I have downloaded the software and used the wizard to add a few apps for me, I must say I didn't find it easy to navigate.

A few of the videos don't seem to work and I typed in a few other that were suggested like Gofilms and Istream but I get an error come up.
