Getting to be a bit of a tradition with Liverpool keepers. Grobbelaar and Reina spring immediately to mind. Dudek had a bit of it in him too.

Yea i Remember reading that. Acterberg also wanted Alisson when he came out of Internacional(irc), so he been tracking him for a while

Does anyone else get the feeling that he looks like a grown up playing in goal against kids? The easy positioning to make saves look easy. The calm and feeling that he sees things quicker than his opponents. How he remains standing up after saving the ball. Even the confidence in playing rush goalie.

Alisson just saved a pen for Brazil in the Copa quarters against Paraguay and Brazil moved to the semi-finals. I think the man is actually the best keeper there ever has been.
Any reason to post a highlights reel. I can enjoy these saves now, whereas while the season was on, wasn't able to enjoy those saves.

As well as the pen the save at the near post in the first half against Paraguay was top drawer, no nonsense, no drama, wasn't made a big deal of, but a totally match winning save from a rasper of a shot.

My recollection is that without him Roma would have been on the end of one of the biggest hidings ever. He saved them at least 5 goals over the two legs, probably more.

Your recollection is totally wrong.

Bar a cut back pass from Robbo to Mane in the second leg, he didn't have any other big save over the two games. The vast majority of shots we had on target, we scored.

I think Everton used to have the same problem with Michael Ball.
