Yeah, that's right. Sat back.

Weren't interested, already classed lower than ST's and the Aways group, Wools, OOTs etc. Not exactly the socialism Bill Shankly spoke of.

Am not going tonight and have bought a £10 ticket despite it being the closest and easiest away for me to get to living in Scunthorpe - only 40mins away from Hull.

Looking at Hulls pricing for home fans its quite fair in that an A and C match combined costs £66 meaning equaled out is £33 a game.

What i don't agree with is charging the Cat A game away fans £50 and that is simply the reason for me choosing not to go as that's totally unfair.

Hopefully there will be some way of getting the official number of LFC fans in the ground tonight and show that the boycott was succesfull.

If im honest id be a bit annoyed if it is just 500 or so tickets not been used tonight, its still the way forward and obviously a start but i was hoping for around 1k seats empty in our end but we will see.

I think you have to respect the people who go to the game tonight and those who go no matter what the price is as they just want to cheer on the lads  but that said they can never argue over the price of a ticket as long as they go.

Anyways will be interesting to see our end tonight and the media coverage it gets after.

I remember Man City fans doing a similar boycott at Arsenal a couple of years ago, Arsenal charged £35 for aways for some games, but charged City £62.

I thought City just didn't sell out at that price?

So Steve Bruce wants a PL rule change does he?

How about ... for every £ difference between your Cat C and Cat A price, that is how many points you WILL have deducted at the end of the season. Acceptance of this new rule is a pre-requisite for entry to the PL. Any club who doesn't accept the rule will be expelled from the league with immediate effect.

There's a lot of other people you should be attacking on this issue before reaching Steve Bruce, especially as he's one of the few who has bothered to raise the point

Exactly and people using that word to fans who happen to go to Hull tonight should be extremely fucking careful who they say it to.

Was talking to a load of scousers on Smethwick station after the game on Saturday about the protest, and I'm taking about lads who go EVERYWHERE, home, away and Europe and have done for hundreds and hundreds of games.  Some of these lads are going on tonight and do understand and respect what SOS are trying to achieve tonight.

But one thing is certain, if that word 'Scab' gets banded around at people fists will be flying. To compare a fan going to Hull tonight against a strike breaking miner is wrong on so many levels.

they "respect" but clearly don't give a shit.
its one fucking game to highlight the problem.

as a union rep sadly this kind of thing was all too common amongst the membership.
people only joined to help themselves personally.

talk about a little sacrifice for the bigger picture.....didnt give a fuck.

way of the world i suppose...everyone for themselves.

Really?

He didn't raise the point at all. He was asked about it at his press conference and, without pausing for breath, he blamed the PL for the problem rather than his own club.

I just really don't see what you gain from attacking him, he's actually came out and said something. Time better spent rallying against those at the top of the ladder, or those opposing fan protest

It's a premier league wide problem. It isn't just hull that are pricing working class fans out of the game. People have got their arrows pointed at the wrong people if they think Steve Bruce is the problem here.

Incredible!

So that's at least £40,000 they've cost, not even counting all the alcohol and food that would be sold inside. Brilliant news

Really ? Which other PL clubs charge us £30 more than Stoke fans ?

Or, according to your post, it would be easier to name the ones that don't.

Sad thing is there's that many self interested fans who will go even if there is a boycott that that's £10,000 wasted that could have gone in a fund for a real show of protest, even taking out an advert (obviously not on the TV ;D)

And Pete whilst I suppose I wouldn't use the term scab on reflection, from speaking with ex-British Coal miners day in day out as part of my job I know many that bandy it around for lesser offenses than those in the 80s, so of course no offense meant.

Hundreds of fans will be at Anfield this evening - and, no, they haven't got the wrong venue.

While their team are playing 200km away in Hull, some Liverpool supporters will be boycotting the KC Stadium protesting at their own ground.

The Spirit of Shankly supporters union has organised the event as part of an ongoing campaign against the cost of watching top-flight football.

Tickets for the match at the KC Stadium are £50, with a £2 reduction by Liverpool as part of the Premier League's away fans initiative.

Graham Courtney and Saggers have just acknowledged the protest and that there are at best 400 liverpool fans scattered. Apparently Sagger covered it in yesterday's show (which I know he'd done in the past with Stan Collymore).
