Inject the "chance prevention" ratio into my veins.

The quality of the Portuguese league is deffo better than the Eredivisie, it's a pretty weak league IMO, but he's done a good job with Feyenoord akin to what Amorim has done, 3rd biggest side with less resources, more than competed, play decent football with attacking intent. Won the cup a few days ago in Holland and put together a really strong league campaign as Champions last season, competed well in Europe too with a Conference League final appearance a couple of years ago, they've lost every season in Europe to Roma funny enough.

Like Amorim, his win % is excellent. Also, he was dead level with Ajax when Covid happened and that was the Ten Haag side who hadn't long been close to the Champions League final. Looks like there'd be far worse shouts, I don't see what's massively different between him and Amorim, minus the hair of course.

Massive gamble this.

He's a proper player at a very young age. Was 14-5 up against Brecel in the semi last year before the occasion became too much for him.

He is a proper player, though it has to be said, that as is ever the case, when one player’s potting them off the lampshade, the other gets no ‘running’. Often it’s subtle stuff too - no outrageous flukes or in-offs.

Consider me whelmed by this news.

Let's get someone cheap, we don't want to end up like Everton

It's unlikely Amorim asked for 20M a season (or whatever was reported).

It's unlikely Amorim rejected Liverpool.

It's likely we viewed Amorim as a strong candidate but maybe Slot is more aligned tactically with our current squad and how hell work with Edwards/Hughes.

We'll never be privvy to the interview but everyone of our top candidates will have spoken to the club and outlined what they'd want to in the 1st 12-18 months in terms of tactics, current squad retention, player acquisitions etc.. I'd guess any manager we hire will have had a vision more aligned with Hughes/Edwards than the other candidates. That looks like Arne Slot currently.

Hard to know how the club made the decision without hearing what was said in an interview. What I don't think is hard to comprehend is that the club have competent people in charge of this appointment and they'll have had a vision for how we want to progress post Klopp

Well it's being advertised on Amazon website so maybe both

You can watch it on TNT via discovery+ via Amazon Prime.

As I said earlier:

All Hail the new Slot Machine.

(but the idea Amorim would price himself out of the best move in football currently available is more than a bit silly)

The ex evertonian Iwobi landed on him similar to the Brentford tackle but obviously not as serious.
