No I don't think it would be a better design. Binning AFL'S boring generic Parrybowl design and introducing The HKS design is the only thing Tom Hicks has done right in his chaotic tenure as co-chairman, though I'll never know how he managed to spend 50 million on architects fees  ???. Personally i love the starship Anfield its unique. A massive steep 18000+ seater Kop as the centrepiece, Four different shaped stands in keeping with the British tradition. It's light years better than the Emirates, the AFL design which you think is better is too similar to the Emirates. I can only hope that Hicks/DIC/Share LiverpoolFC or whomever owns Liverpool build us the HKS designed stadium.

nah they sit on the grass as the team plays on the pitch there, the stadium looking thing is just a smear on the camera lense

Well, that pitch doesn't look in very good condition. You'd think theey could have done a better job of it, considering it's only a design.

Concerning that UEFA stadium pic up there, I've been longing for UEFA to just build a friggin massive stadium in Switzerland and use it for the UC and UCL finals. I know people like the thought of always traveling somewhere different every year, but it'd surely solve the 'lack of tickets' problem that UEFA always seem to create, eh?

The AFL design looks decent - though one of the big bugbears for me is that the Kop looks to be the smallest stand - ok it is one tier - though doesn't look intimadting or anything special... I know the fans will make it what it is, but the design of the Kop is (was) quite poor.

If the desgin had the Kop tier seating almost to the roof ceiling (with the two screens removed) then it'd probably look a lot better - though probably a lot more expensive?

I love our present design. It looks unique with the 4 stands and that monster fucking Kop. Hicks is right about this one thing, it could be the best stadium in the world and will make all the other tossers jealous.
The only thing is that they need to fill in the corners in the Kop and get rid of that thing that goes across the middle, whether it is corporate boxes or a disabled platform. The AFL design which is the subject of this thread is just another boring bowl ffs, nowhere near as good as the one that's going ahead (I hope).

That second pic doesn't seem to be working, though you can see it if you follow the address.
I presume you mean that top being the design for the Kop, with the rest in the bowl shape?
Rather than combining the flags from the first pic, and that 'Fuck Off' from the second, to create a mosaic for our owners?
