Great performance, totally justified being named on the bench and coped so well under the circumstances. Has a bright future ahead of him.

I thought he was fantastic.

Yes very raw and caught a little bit by the aggression at times, but in general looked at home, including a great run to start a move.

Astonishing for a 16 year old.

That run towards the end absolutely blew my mind. What a talent.

But also from now on we need to use him at RB, its quite unfair on him  to use him as CB.

To be fair we had no choice but to throw him in at CB. Definitely an option at RB, has plenty of work to do but a very good debut at the tender age of 16. Very exciting talent.

Qwality on the ball.......

Needs to learn how to be a footballer like...but the kid has some talent..

He needs to physically mature before he’s really ready for the first team, but I can see why he’s been described as a rolls rolls Royce.  He also looked ridiculously calm in possession.  I’d have shat myself to be honest.

Had to remind myself he's only 16. That run in the second half was brilliant and its great to see that level of confidence from such a young lad

What a performance from him. Usually with younger players they burst onto the scene , seem to posses that extra yard of pace and trickery, plus a bit of the unknown quantity (Owen, Rooney) but usually they are attackers. This lad to show that most composure at the back agaisnt a decent side was nothing short of breathtaking.  What a future this lad has personally have him in the squad now for league games. Looks very versatile and at ease with the ball.
Oh yeah just to add i hope to fucking  god this kid is tied down on a long contract.

He looked shaky at first but he really grew in to the game and looked so calm by the end of the game. The worst thing about the result for me is that we probably wont see more of him this season.
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

It'd almost be quite disappointing if we have to wait another year before he plays another match, if not in the league cup. Of course with Van Dijk a nailed on starter, and Gomez/Lovren/Matip all involved, it won't be easy for him to find much game time anywhere, he's shown his maturity massively tonight.

Would also be interesting to see him play a first team game at right back, if tonight was anything to go by he might look comfortable.

Not only that, a 16 year old RB, our youngest ever FA cup debutant, brought on early in the game to replace a CB who played in the WC final. Away from home against a decent team too.

I might be wrong but literally his first pass was an arrowed ball between two Wolves players straight to Milner I think whilst he was in his defensive third. Talk about confidence on the ball.

Yeah he was probably still taking in the occasion and getting settled - 'Get stripped, you're on'

Yes that would be silly - hes still physically a kid.

He would get thrown around by Murray.

That's probably fair enough.

As a 16 year old, he did very well.

As a professional CB, he did fair. Muscled off the ball a few times. Sent a few passes astray. Got caught out of position ( Fab and Millie had to cover).

But he's 16. Showed his pace and dribbling skills. Made some good choices with his passes. Kept the ball ticking over at times. Had a couple clearances. Plenty of talent.

For a 16 year old...... Wow

Still a very raw talent, but the occasion didn't seem to phase him.  Still a lot to learn, but he seemed to have so much confidence for a young lad, especially with that run out from the box towards the end.

Good times ahead for this guy in years to come.
