Always seems unfair to make a solitary American man play against an entire national team.

Good luck to him, always liked the We've only got one Song song.

Goodness me, what shocking news.

Remember his time with us vividly, he was a really exiting signing, played with great joy..

Let's hope he makes a good recovery

Really hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Get well soon Rigoberto your red friends are thinking of you
If my assistant had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Patr Cheh. he beeped me to signal the foul. The noise from the crowd  stopped me hearing it, I have been involved at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Arsenal, but I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. IT WAS INCREDIBLE

He was only 40, I hope his final moments were peaceful with him surrounded by his loved ones.  RIP, Rigobert.

edit - seems it may not be fully confirmed just yet. A lot of West Ham fans not believing it just yet - https://twitter.com/DailyWestHam/status/784500003972771840/photo/1. Also, they were saying two days ago that his life wasn't in danger any more (although that doesn't mean he couldn't have relapsed) - http://www.espnfc.co.uk/cameroon/story/2966045/former-cameroon-international-rigobert-songs-life-no-longer-in-danger-minister.

Without wanting to disrespect the situation in any way, surely if he had died the club or a decent news source would of ran the story? Its a heart breaking situation but not actually knowing whats going in is awful. Praying the snippets of news are false???
