Bit of drama on the LH1204, the 12:55 from Frankfurt to Basel. Smell of smoke coming through a/c on take-off with immediate emergency landing back at Frankfurt met by several fire engines followed by evacuation on the runway.

Several reds on board the CRJ900.

Most passengers are rebooked on the next flight at 16:30 and some have taken the train.

Hopefully we all make the game.

Took one hour to get in, few in front got chucked out the q because they missed a security check, some prolly fakes but I think a lot of them were waiting close to the stadium for ages with genuine tix before they started checks further up the road

Got home at half three this morning. Fantastic trip until the second half started

Barfüsserplatz was fantastic before the game. We had to walk through Sevilla's end of Basel to get there and wow; we must have outnumbered them about 5-1.

Got in the ground very early and saw the fighting when it took place. The police were ten minutes too late! Hope no reds were hurt. Any rawkites get a closer look and see how it started? Heard at the airport that it may have been something to do with Sevilla fans taking our banners and it went from there...

On the whole a great trip with a sour end. Much better vibe than Athens.

It was all the Sevilla fans starting the fighting and they were all absolute sh*t houses one lad from our end got caught on floor and they had no worries all stamping him on his head when he was out of it. I did see them taking our banners down aswell, zero police presence was an absolute shocker

Same, B5 middle tier.

Great seats, shame the game wasn't as good. Didn't show up second half, Klopp was right we just didn't react to them scoring as we needed to.

Still a great atmosphere throughout the day, had a laugh chatting to random fans all. Heads gone now though, in work and after being stood up for about 18 hours I'm done in.

Absolutely shocking that airport Thursday night.

They didn't put enough staff on the get everybody onto the plane. We were supposed to fly at 1:50, and no staff were there until people complained enough and a guy showed up about 40 minutes later. No air conditioning, 100s of reds sweating in there. People were sat in the chair speaking to the pilot on the phone, and he was asking where the staff was too.

You'd think they'd put enough staff on to actually check people onto the planes. Morons.

Great trip though, enjoyed the square in the day

Just got in - was turning into a classic trip until the second half - totally flat after that and the walk back in the rain summed up the mood . I was up for a couple in town but no-one else with me was arsed so just went back to the ranch and called it a night - at least I was in a decent state for the drive to Milan in the morning . I fully expected our flight back to Manc to be delayed to rub salt in the wound but it was on time and got back ok . Will be strange with no Euro aways next year but the old bank balance will be a bit better off at least .

Slept for maybe 3 hours. Was worried if I fell asleep proper I'd sleep through my alarm!! Could not get hold of any taxis on the phone and no cars o uber so walked a bit and got the number 50 to Euro Airport. Less than 3 euros! Basel to Dussledorf left late which resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Frankfurt. Lufthansa put me on one an hour later and ended up back in London earlier than originally planned! Could do with having tomorrow off to be honest but need to go in.

I was a bit hesitant at going alone but met loads of friendly people around the Barfutzplattz square and some other long street. Was sat in D7 with a bunch of Dortmund fans, all getting involved. Not sure if they were there for Klopp or just to see us play in a final?

Saw some scuffle with a Seville fan on the way into D, then not long after the nonsense down the bottom. Took the riot police long enough to get there. Also saw some poor lads refused entry at the electronic scanner thing, presumably fake. I thought they would have checked for that sort of thing on the previous checks before you actually get into the stadium.

Me and my lad got home about 20 mins ago, another great Euro away trip, another shite Euro away performance by the Reds, great to see all the usual faces out there......as for all the whoppers out there the less said the better.

Absolutely knackered now.

No Euro aways next season but pretty sure Jurgen will have us back in there the season after,

Well knackered, me and the misses got home about half hour ago. Seemed to take forever to get home.
Had great time though apart from the obvious. O well can't win them all, I suppose. Please please let some good times (and trophies) Come our way very soon.
