It's perfect... Now we can put him on the wing instead and buy a fucking midfielder  ;D

Once we buy a new midfielder anyway  ;)
Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

Disappointing.

I'm guessing that the new man is pretty much done given the timing of sacking Brendan.

to be honest i really don't mind who they give it to out of the obvious candidates. Non of them are guarantee's to be successful. I'd prefer Klopp but De Boer, Carlo etc. I don't mind. Get them in. Give them 3 years. See what happens.

I'd love to see a profer football man brought in as DoF/SD at the same time though. Someone to run the football department for FSG. Not an executive or a chief scout. Like Bayern have Sammer and Dortmund have Zorc.

I'd be happy with either. My only reservations... Ancelloti... Although he has won massive trophies, he's not won the title as much as he maybe should have in his time as a manager. Still he's done it more than most and this is only a small reservation. You only have to look at the madrid players to see what players think of him managing them

Klopp... Just the whole pressing thing. Great style of play but it always seems to have its downsides that can go very wrong. That being said i love the football his dortmund team played. Plus the fact we could potentially get dortmund players with him in charge

Question is, can Ancelotti re-re-re-build a team?

Klopp has a great record in Germany and would open us up to a new market. I wouldn't mind a new Hamann.

I'll be pissed if it's not Klopp. Seems like the perfect fit. Wouldn't be too unhappy with Ancellotti but it worries me he's been there and done it, he might not have the drive, especially without an all star squad.

Don't know enough about De Boer.

Agree completely. The worry is that FSG still think they're smarter than everyone else and go for another left-field choice.

You have a reservation about a thrice European Cup and multiple league winning manager? You must never be satisfied.

Think they are valid reservations.

A lot of the credit for the trophies goes to the quality of players available; in one of his interviews Rafa put it as the manager's influence is only around 20 percent. Personally I think it's a bit more than that, but still, when you look at Ancelotti, the last major club he took beyond the usual was Parma iirc. Since then, he's had the squads and the finances to compete for trophies, every time. I don't see him working out exceptionally well at us. Decent job, perhaps. Thing is, a decent job at Real Madrid is the Spanish crown. A decent job here is 3rd place.

Don't know enough about De Boer.
Juan Loco tweeted that that would be his choice, because he would be the most likely to play 343 with a diamond... That gives me a bit more faith in De Boer if he was appointed.

I'd eat my hat if it isn't Klopp. He's been practically begging to come here since he left Dortmund, has expressed his immense respect for the club time and time again, and has consistently been dropping hints in the media that this is a job and project he would be willing to take on.

In fact, I'm sure some sort of arrangement with him has already been reached.
