Okay, so, serious question here: considering our wage bill is fifth highest, have we underachieved if we finish 7th? Or are we "par?"

Im waiting for the explanation when Southampton the team Brendan financially doped finish ahead of us.

Seriously, I'll do the job for nothing. We might not win, but we'll at least get players in the box, and anyone who can't pass 5 yards to a man in a red shirt gets dropped until they learn how.

Oh, and we'll be good on set pieces.

Seriously hard to defend Brendan when the football is that abysmal.

But still - no goalscorers. 9 shots on target. None of them in the net.

Either Rodgers knows he's gone, and is just keeping his head above water until the end; or he knows he's there next season, no matter what, and he's just playing out time until he can get the strikers he needs.

Either way, something's up.

Awful season that made a mockery of last year.
9 shots on target but were any of them real chances ?

What an illusion Brendan Rodgers gave us when he went on that run of games. We were mediocre throughout and now were showing our true identity. This squad is a shambles.

That would be a fucking risky game to play with the squad. He may lose a lot of players going into next season if he sets them up to fail now.

Go on BR, I dare you to insult our intelligence once more and tell us we were outstanding, showed great character, needed a bit of luck or can't fault the players effort.

Played to par at Hull.

Rodgers' must feel he's born into the wrong country. Spain, Italy where they bother to think about the game, where they value skill, technique, above cuntish football would have suited him more.
The courts, the rich, the powerful or those in authority never lie. It has been dealt with 'by the courts' nothing to see here run along.

Why the need to show these players, they not the only players in the team, how about the 25mill we spunked on Lallana, or the 20 on Lovern instead of a 40 mill stiker.
Why show a player who cost us 5mill  years ago and one that is a backup striker.
Whats your agenda!

To show that the team are already on holiday
Let us never forget Rafael Benitez and what he did for us. A fighter full of guts and passion. A gentleman full of class and dignity. A football manager full of intelligence and pure genius. A Legend.

Dont blame owners at all. They invested 120m over the summer.

They didn't, and they're not devoid of blame in this season. But it's hardly worth pointing fingers at them when we see what we got tonight.

- Ballotelli is not a footballer. My god it's laughable how poor his game intelligence is.
- Sterling is half as good as he thinks he is and can't kick a ball properly. Why has nobody noticed this?
- Glen Johnson as horrid as ever. No brain at all.
- Brendan making the same old mistakes over and over again. One up front does not work with this personnel.
- Why can't a single player cross a decent ball?
- Markovic needs game time. There's a player in there.
- A fit Lallana will make a difference.
- Joe Allen was very good tonight and won lots of tackles and kept it ticking. Exactly the job he should do in there
- FSG please can we have two QUALITY strikers and a decent wide attacker?
- Hull defended very well, but we played to their strengths. Those big lumps all want the play in front of them, and we did exactly that.

Can't wait for this season to be over now....

At this point, I'd be fucking raging at them. Even Rafa criticised them when they needed it.

Brendan Rodgers has a long way to go until he can look down on competitions like the Europa League

So are Liverpool FC fullstop. We are 50 odd placed in the coefficient rankings! Next time we get in the CL we are guaranteed to be in pot 4.

We’ll still finish in top four - and they won’t. You can quote me on this in May.

difficult to know what to say after that, but its hardly surprising since we can't do anything about the forward positions until the summer so the same problems are going to be there and now confidence is rock bottom.

Thought Allen was really good never stopped, Can too you can see he is a winner we need more characters like him in this team.

Balotelli was an embarrassment and his part in the Hull goal just sums up his lazy mentality which is the opposite of what we had last season, and Sterling looks a player devoid of any sort of confidence and maybe he needs to watch himself and how hes performed over these last few months before he thinks hes made it as a player.

If the season continues in this way then the pressure is going to be cranked up on Rodgers.

That unbeaten run is looking a fluke now. How much demotivation did Rodgers put into that?????
I know he said was managing Gerrard over 3 games in a week, but he could have at least rested him on the bench.  Is Sterling playing for a drop in wage? Mario definitely influenced the game today.
On the plus side, Allen looked good.

Remember Rodgers claiming it was 'unprecedented' going from 7th to a title challenge last year...Now he's managing to achieve the complete reverse...Guess that's unprecedented too...

Not impressive. At all.

It's not unprecedented at all. It happens regularly throughout football history.

I don't care so much about the table position as I do about the absolutely shite football we're playing.

There's a lot of things I can't stand - Jim Davidson, Parmesan cheese, and How I Met Your Mother

But if there is one thing I REALLY can't stand, it's players who can't or won't make proper passes, but will try things that might work on FIFA or in their head, but have less chance in real life.

I think some of these players don't actually care, and that's bad news for the manager.

It's like 02-03 all over again.

Pathetic. The players just dont seem bothered. The lack of effort and desire has been criminal.

Says something that they give up the fight for 4th place so easily and they didnt give up tonight, they gave up once they got done by Utd. Never even game themselves a chance to pull it off. Feel the manager is a dead man walking. It his team now and if they dont wanna play for him - then Im thinking it easier to get rid of one man than to clear-out 10 or 11.
Roll up you sleeves and start to dance boys, for happiness is rare in a poor man's life!
