No one would have believed in the last years of the twenty-tens that the world of football was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences lesser than that of three day old toast; that as players busied themselves for the coming season they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man living in his parents basement with access to youtube. It is curious to recall some of the mental habits of those too actively engaged in the transfer window. As most terrestrial men went to the pub, fancied there might be members of the opposite sex there, the internet ITKs were ready to welcome a solo missionary enterprise. Yet across the gulf of wishful thinking, minds that are to our minds as ours are to that of Stephen Hawking, intellects shallow and one-dimensional and unsympathetic, regarded Mbappé with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans to create the internet rumours to fool the world!

Friendlies already? Feels like the previous season only just finished, but this is probably because I keep watching videos of the CL final. Excited to see Brewster and Wilson, really need them to hit the ground running because I suspect we won't be buying any top quality attacking players this window.

There's two academy left backs training with the fitst team so imagine at least one plays there.

I think any match with paying spectators means non-qualifying players need a work permit. Remember reading ages ago about a young lad who was in the UK as a student and wanted to play non-league football as an amateur but couldn’t because there would be paying fans watching him. Not sure how it works for LFC games played in the US or the rest of Europe.

Excited to see Brewster this preseason. Klopp rates him highly and seemingly has a lot of trust in him. We will need him to come good on that in some instances this season, as he will likely have a part to play. Certainly in the cups and probably quite a few appearances from the bench in the league/CL. He looked brilliant before getting injured. Hopefully he can get back to where he was at and well ahead of that after what will hopefully be a promising season.

I'm also interested to see Wilson, Ox, Van Den Berg and Ki-Jana Hoever. Hopefully we will get to see what Glatzel and Duncan can do too.

Well I am a season ticket holder for home games but might be worth it for others, and games like tonight.

I think it's £4.99 a month for me, so may try it, like you say can stop it if I want to later.
