It's not, unless they've drastically improved over the last year or so.

Footy-Report is half the price, same HD quality streams. Plus1HD uses Canadian channels, with Footy-Report you get Sky, BT Sports, Setanta etc. So that could be a preference thing.

In addition to their site you can also get:

PS3/PS4/XboxOne Compatibility
Android application with HD support
iPhone/iPad applications with HD support
XBMC Media Centre Plugin

So I can set up a RaspberryPi with XBMC, plug it into my television and have a full on footy streaming box for about £40-50

They might use Skysports but how many times have they been shut down? 2/3 times now? Thats why Plus1Hd use Nbc/Sportsnet less chance of being shut down, I used to use LOF guys to stream before Plus1Hd and its no were near reliable as Plus1Hd and they stream twice as much sport as LOF..

If i ever want to stream on my tv, just plug Hdmi from laptop to tv and there you have it.

How many different servers do Footyreport use? Plus1hd have about 10 different nodes to choose from per match..
I'll bring out the stats and heat maps if we sign him.

Footy Report has been shut down twice (LiveOnlineFooty > BitScores > FootyReport/HD-Streaming), but it's been running for over 4 years now. Them being shut down has nothing to do with Sky, it's the Premier League. Plus1HD use Canadian TV channels because they're based in Canada, it's as simple as that. Both sites have as much chance of being shut down really, Footy Report has been running over a year now since it re opened, Plus1HD a little longer.

Footy Report has been reliable as fuck for ages, Plus1HD made a right mess of our streams in the second half of last season. Two times our streams were stopped at half time, I remember people flooding to the streaming thread on here. That being said I think they're probably about as reliable as each other.

I didn't say you couldn't plug your laptop into your TV, I was just stating the many options you get when you use Footy Report. The Android and iPhone apps are very useful for example.

As for the servers I wouldn't know, Footy Report is a more streamlined site, it obviously uses multiple servers but you don't get to select them.

Like I said on my original edit, they're both good.  :wave

I've used footy report for about 4 months. Never once had an issue. Recommended it to two of my friends and they've had no issue either.

Yes they had a few problems last season, but this season they have been virtually flawless, there was 1 problem about 2 months ago but it has been sorted and Plus1HD has never run better than now.

Both are very good sites, but Plus1HD wins it for me based on there being atleast 9/10 different nodes(5 EU 5 USA) to choose from if one of the nodes is lagging

I would be lost if football streaming dissapeared  ;D

Fair play, they're the only two services I would recommend and I do miss those over the top ice hockey adverts ;D!

Not wrong with the streaming, not missed a match for years. (Apart from our FA Cup game this season which wasn't televised)

When I used to use Plus1HD, it was nigh on impossible to get a stream in the correct aspect ratio.

i've always found LOF to be choppy as hell when streaming, the frame rate isn't right, plus1hd on the other hand runs perfect for me

i've a sub to both mainly because of the iOS support offered on LOF

Frame stuttering is horrible on both, a lot of people don't notice it but it drives me insane. Flash is such a terrible player.

It bearable for me on a laptop or iPad, but on a bigger screen, either from my laptop via HDMI or via PS3, it's noticeably choppy.

with regards flash, they've no plans to move away from it, it's a security issue rather than not being able to offer an alternative

I've noticed the site has been going down more and more regularly, especially at the start of games.  Presumably it is being caused by a sudden influx of people switching streams on.

I'be been trying to create a Footy Report account for someone but no luck at all. It's been 6 weeks now and I'm still waiting for the next E-mail. Anyone had a similar problem?  I don't want to share my details and argue over who watches which games!

Each channel is listed on the right hand side, 1 = Sky Sports 1 etc.

It's showings are exactly what's on each channel at the time.

They had some of the bigger matches on in week 1, but then they stopped. I guess demand wasn't there for something that's freely available on terrestrial tv or free on other sites.

Is footy report the same as News Source/HD Streaming? Cos it still works for me on Gotham (13.1 and 13.2 beta), I watched yesterday's friendly with it. If it's a rival streaming site then I don't know, sorry.
