YNWA mocked or catching on elsewhere?
« on: September 1, 2007, 07:10:12 pm »
Was watching the Manure game today when I heard . . . ringing out quite clearly around the grounds after Saha scored on a terrible Gordon mistake . . . YNWA!!!

Its a beautiful anthem, easily catching - - and yet obviously with MANU fans singing it, i figured something was not on.

Has YNWA caught on in other places (besides Celtic), and was ManU taking the mickey?  If so, what words were they using.

Never argue with a fool . . . people may not know the difference .

It was the Sunderland supporters that were singing...
"As I come here to Liverpool and to Anfield I have drummed it into our players time and again, they are PRIVILEGED to play for you and if you did not believe me! Do You Believe Me Now?"

I think we've got the (grudging maybe) support of all non-Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U fans.

Sound... ;D

Sunderland singing it to piss United fans off.  Thought that was quite obvious, as a number of other teams supports frequently do this....hence the boo's that quickly follow it!

Sound =0)

Difficult to know who was singing it as it sounded like it was ringing around the park from the Tele.  I wouldn't doubt, with all the 'day in the sun' fans - a fair few of the uninitiated mancunians joined in!

Sunderland have a history of signing it against the Mancs. They did it in 2005 when they held them to a 0-0 at Old Trafford.

I heard it in the WC in Germany too, and in holland.
Some people think they're bigger than the club, bigger than anyone at the club. They are wrong.
