Cisse is still the top scorer in the French league so far with 20 goals in 30 games  ;)
2nd is Drogba with 18 goals  :no

Cisse won a free kick at one stage of the game and told the ref (that's what the commentator said, i'm not sure about that) that there was nothing and he shouldn't have blown. Does it not remind you of Robbie God Fowler  ;D
Auxerre scored on this free kick by the way  :P

I personally want him to be here. But I wonder how will he go in his very first season in the EPL.

Why's that? Since Cisse has scored more in a lower side.

Djibril Cisse - Heskey mark 2??
« Reply #100 on: April 11, 2004, 01:59:27 pm »
No wonder he wants to come to Liverpool.

His goal-scoring ratio has gone seriously to pot since the confirmation by Houllier that he will almost certainly come to Liverpool.

He is lazy, moody and misses far too many chances for us to win the league.

Owen plus Pongolle plus Baros plus 1 more...but not Cisse..please

Scored last night...and when was the last time he scored before that?

How many chances per game does he miss before he gets one.  Too many.

I reckon he'll be a tremendous signing and for him to turn down Real Madrid in favour of us says a lot about the guy.

Paul - you're supposed to wait till they sign before you slag them off.  Why not get stuck into some of our current players and you can start on Ciise when he signs.
Well, I don't know what it is, but there's definitely something going on upstairs

I'm also surprised to find people writing him off even though they barely appear to have seen him play

I thinks it's more a case of having doubts about next season filo, Cisse may add to our problems if the team continue to fail in other areas. We need to know that the team can progress as a unit before spending big cash on more untested players

even moreso when there are lads waiting on the fringes to get a chance (my view only)

Oh God, again with the Heskey comparison. Where are people getting this shit from?

For the record, he hit his dry scoring spell after it was confirmed that he would miss all of Euro 2004 through suspension. Given that he is a young player desperate to prove himself on a big stage, it isn't really surprising. Only now is he beginning to get his groove back.
