Weird on here the way everyone is now pretending they think it’s a good appointment, like they did with Amorim. Odd group think.

Can’t wait for Arne Slot to get on the phone to a big signing when we’re up against big competition to sign them. I’m sure they’ll be running to Blackpool.

We're not gonig for the top names as we woudn't be able to afford the fee and or wages. We're alaways looking for the next step down to develop into a top player.

The options aren’t limited. Arne Slot, Roberto De Zerbi and Ruben Amorim are not the only choices. Why are people peddling this as true?

Zinedine Zidane, Pochettino, Luis Enrique, Nagelsmann, Tuchel, Simeone. All bigger names just off the top of the head. Slot is a huge, huge gamble. As are De Zerbi and Amorim.

We went and got the best man around in 2015 and he’s built us up into an elite club again. He leaves and we’re back to Brendan Rodgers style appointments. It’s madness, we’re not spurs.

4 of those are in jobs though.

Zidane not managed for a while so maybe is  that fussed anymore.

Tuchel fair he has good cv so does Conte but they aren’t the right fit here.

Klopp was available and a one off.

As I have stated many times there is hardly ANY elite managers around.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking this. Can someone please explain exactly what happened with Amorim? Bad interview? Personal terms? I've just read about the West Ham links but nothing other than that.

I was uneasy about De Zerbi but after this appointment, I wouldn't even mind him.

At least with De Zerbi there is the unknown and the potential for his blueprint to explode under a better group of players.

I'm also convinced Nagelsmann or Emery would not have signed new contracts if we showed our interest. We quite clearly haven't taken a liking to either of them.

Strange. I mean how is this our replacement for Klopp.
