Well, let's see...the positives: Hendo and Robertson played well, as did Woodburn when he came on. Gomez played well until his mistake for the first goal. Great to see Ings back on the pitch. The rest not so much, AOC had a full debut to forget.

I wanted us to win 100%, but now let's just hope all of those wanting us to throw this one turn out to have been the wise ones, and the lack of any more League Cup fixtures benefits us in some way...won't benefit players like Woodburn and Ward who would have got valuable experience in the games, though.

Wasted opportunity though for the likes of Grujic, Solanke and Woodburn. They may not get that many more this side of Christmas.

And there it is. We're so predictable it's pathetic and sickening at the same time. Give us a ton of possession, watch us either do fuck all with it most of the time or waste chance after chance and then wait for the inevitable defensive fuck up or two from us. Because that's absolutely guaranteed when it comes to our defense. I don't even want to watch Klopp's post-match interview because it's bound to be the same bollocks we've heard time and time again, yet nothing ever changes.

Honestly, what the fuck was that second half? Taking Coutinho off was as shocking a decision as they come. He needed minutes and was orchestrating things so he's promptly taken off despite being our best player and we fall to pieces in the second half. The defense was its usual self and Klavan wouldn't look out of place even in a League One side. Like I said in the first half, we should have taken our chances because they had Okazaki and Mahrez to bring on and we had... Ings. Can't believe we looked awful even against the Leicester reserves. Only consolation is that it was just the League Cup but we've surrendered it so meekly that it's quite annoying.

Woodburn is quality. Solanke had his moments, only just turned 20 so I'm not too fussed that he's still sorting his game out.  Oxlade-Chamberlain didn't play well, but it's his first start and that was not an easy game.  Henderson I'm basically done with at this point.
