I came to think of this free kick gem from Hammarby's Johan Andersson versus Trelleborg in 2001. He channelled his inner Roberto Carlos and if the Puskás award was around back then he should've won it! (1:00)

Free kick taker: "I'll never be able to repeat such a hit again".
Keeper debutant: "That was one hell of a hit! I hardly even saw it before it just sat there in the top corner".

Sadly it can't seem that I can embed the video at the right second on Youtube so apologies for that.

Forget the football, I missed this when you posted it and just watched it back. :lmao

Brought back memories of my cousin doing the air punches along with it to take the piss of my aunt who was a Michael Ball Ultra. :D

Wasn't Michael Ball a red? A contemporary of Owen and Gerrard.
"i just dont think (Lucas is) that type of player that Kenny wants"

Jared Borgetti vs Italy in 2002.  Still unfathomable to me how he even thought about going for goal.  Watched it hundreds of times, especially from the angle behind the goal, and there is just no danger there.  No wonder Buffon was caught flat-footed.

One of the best goals I watched as it happened. The way that ball accelerates towards the end is gravity-defying. Andrea Pirlo for Milan vs Parma in 2010.

Probably my favourite non-LFC goal. The technique and quickness of thought to pull this one is just magnificent. I once tried to replicate this as a young boy training for my local team. I ended up with a swollen ankle the size of a melon, and almost two months of agony. Still, fun memories though.
