It's really difficult to predict this. Given the volume of players out and with important league games coming up it would seem frivolous to risk key players. But last year we famously played Jota in a dead rubber against FC Midtjylland and lost him for weeks/months. I read an Athletic article suggesting the decision was financial - we obtain around £2.5m for each CL group stage game we win, versus about £750,000 for a draw. There is therefore some incentive to win these games even when they don't "matter". To put this into context, the team that wins the League Cup (the entire competition) gets £100k.
So in some ways I hope if we rest players, we really do play a full rotation. There doesn't seem to be much to be gained in taking a punt on a half-strength side - we may not win anyway, and we risk losing players to injury.
