Train Line is saying that it's TransPennine Express out of Victoria on Saturday around 5ish. So you shouldn't be affected by the NR strikes. It's also the better train station, Piccadilly is a nightmare at rush hour, the train will be packed.

One of my best mates has a nice big gaff with a big projector, his missus is working nights and his kids are at their aunt staying. So all the lads are heading there. Sounds great right ? Except him, his 3 brothers, and 3 of the other lads going are all mancs. There will be 3 of us with Merseyside colours on, but 2 of them are blue. Geared up to be the best or worst night of football ever. I'm saying the lads need balls Saturday, so I'm getting mine out of the freezer and going round there.

Great city. Had an amazing steak last night in the Pechersk market area at Barsuk Restaurant.

There's going to be some brilliant big screens in the big central square with the golden domes apparently.

Heading to a Croation mates house in Melbourne who knows Lovren, Modric & Kovacic through various connections at Dinamo. BBQ Saturday night...pulling an all nighter for a 4.45am kick off. Now way I was sitting at home alone with the wife and kids in bed keeping the noise down. Just going to enjoy it regardless....every supporter would love to be in our shoes 😎

I've noticed this morning on Booking.com and LateRooms that some Liverpool hotels, which were previously showing as 'full' now have rooms available for Saturday night. Prices still too high for me, but it looks like they might be starting to review them to get rid of late cancellations and the odd room they haven't sold yet.

I'll be watching with one A. Villa fan, one W.Ham fan and one Man Utd fan. All will be supporting Liverpool, as they did for the semi-final and the finals in 2007 and 2005.

Struggling now. Was gonna jump a train to Liverpool and watch it in town, but I don't have tickets for anywhere. Wanted to watch it in McCooleys but it'll be so rammed it'll suck getting served. In work saturday afternoon as well, so won't be able to camp out there from early.

Trainline's still listing all the trains from my stop to Lime Street, so hopefully it'll be sound. If not I'll jump the 79C or pressure someone to drive me in :p

Yes and no.

Yes, the strike is only on Northern. They will try to have trains running though, if you fancy getting a scab train.

No, because the trains are a massive mess at the moment, with the new timetable and shortage of drivers, plus various engineering projects. The strike will just add to the problems they're having anyway. I'm commuting every day and there hasn't been a single day for weeks that wasn't affected by delays and cancellations.

I'm going there, assuming you mean the Dome in the Grand Central building? Looks boss. Has the biggest cinema screen in Liverpool and room for 1200 sitting and standing. Should be a proper atmosphere.
