They essentially got a hall of fame caliber receiver from one of their biggest rivals for the AFC for nothing.

As soon as Oakland released him, everyone was half joking half terrified he’d end up on the Pats and be a model citizen on the way to another Pats Super Bowl.

On our way now to such a reality.

Meh, I hate the Pats as much as the next guy but they have always won with players that checked their ego.

What did Randy Moss say when he left the Raiders to sign with the Pats? "I think that he's the kind of coach that can motivate me. He has a proven track record."

That worked well.

AB is a talent. He also needs therapy. If the Pats are going to add another ring, it's not going to be because of him.

We have Dorset, Gordon, Edelman, Thomas, and newly acquired Antonio Brown as the wide receiving corp! We also have Sony Michel, James White, Damian Harris, and Brandon Bolden as our running backs!! James Devlin as the fullback! Our defense is supposed to be top 5 as well?

Good luck to the rest of the league!!!!

The raiders basically gave the two most important positions to people who were good on tv, so it’s hard to have sympathy for an organisation so utterly inept and not learning from the Matt Millen fiasco in Detroit all those years ago

Listen up, all you Trump-level geniuses. ;)  Antonio Brown just lost at least $14,000,000 (£11,400,000). All he had to do was play some games for Oakland and receive his guaranteed money. Then if he so wanted, he could have screamed for a trade out of there before the October trade deadline, AND gotten all of his money. But no, you crybabies with your clueless team owners and incompetent GMs have your tinfoil hats on per usual. The fact of the matter is, it wasn't a devious plan by the Patriots, it was a brainless but talented idiot making an incredibly stupid series of actions that cost him at least $14,000,000.

That said, do I want him on the Patriots? Hell no. Yes, if the planets align they will have a frightening offense. That would be fun. But the last thing Josh Gordon (who by all accounts is a very nice, team-oriented person) needs is a nutcase like Brown next to him. Gordon is trying to avoid his drug addiction demons, and the Patriots just brought in a person who will spend loads of time with him that would make the Pope stick needles in his arms!
