That was what should have happened though, even if the refs whistle it dead, it would have took no time for an Eagles player to go touch the ball just in case.

But the play was called dead, why would they?

VAR is meant to improve things, not make everything 100% perfect though, it is not like the status quo is judged by such lofty standards after all.

It depends what do you mean by 'deal with'. It won't ever be perfect most probably. It should, however, decrease our disadvantage in big referee calls. But it seems we can get home penalties this year, so right now, I don't know if it will help us or not. Otherwise, I don't really care. It's coming, and I cannot do anything against it, so I am looking for the positives.

Trubisky has been meh, started to make a few throws towards the end of the half, while also throwing some stupid ones, but at least he's not thrown one down the throat of a defender or tried to get one of his WRs murdered with a hospital ball yet.  ;D

In my head I was specifically thinking of inconsistencies with linos playing on vs flagging for offsides and stuff, and working out what to do with the ball after things like a penalty being awarded from what then turned out to be a foul throw

Thought that was a bullshit penalty myself. The receiver has just as much hold on the defender's arm as the other way. Plus the spot foul is just bullshit.

he hooked his right arm, the officials always favour the offensive player.

If you didn't have spot of the foul penalties on pass interference and changed it to 15 yards, DBs would commit fouls all the time rather than give up a big play

looking like it's going to be a good wild card weekend for road teams.

Doesn't happen in college. If it's a professional foul then you could still have it as a spot foul. For ticky-tacky ones like that, it's basically how Joe Flacco has had an NFL career these past 4 years.

the only way the bears are getting into the end zone in this game is either a defensive score or something in garbage time if the iggles give up.
