Word from the owner of Missed Approach in the 5:30:

'Had a breathing op which could bring out some improvement. If he runs close to last years form in the NH Chase, where he was beat only by Tiger Roll who franked form yesterday, then he will win the race. If it rains he will deal with the ground.'

Was due to be running in the Midlands GN tomorrow but Greatrex feels he has a great chance in this

Noel McParlan on board again who gave him brilliant ride last year. This horse stays all day and I'll be on this EW in the Kim Muir.

Mingles you absolute fucking legend!!!

Saw this this morning and changed my Tipster comp pick to Missed Approach.  You've always done well in our comp when you've played.

More importantly I had £35 on it at 13.5.

After commission cleared £450 and sorted for tomorrow now.

Thanks so much for posting.

No worries at all mate! Great to salvage what had been a shocker of a day.

Always love doing the comp, but missed the cut for the first day. By that point everyone had streaked clear!

Didn't watch it mate. I just watched the odds fluctuations on Betfair exchange to get an idea of what was happening.

Odds were steady at around 10.0 all race then dropped to 6.0 then 3.0.   Mall Dini looked the danger throughout. Is that right?

Nope. The first one won at 10/1 and I dreamt for half n hour. It was fun while it lasted  and it would have paid just under two n half grand.

Aye he kept himself a length or so clear until the final turn and when Mall Dini tried to kick in he just found an extra gear to keep him off.

Great horse from the front. Similar run to last year.

Have a great day tomorrow!

My run through of tomorrow so everyone knows what to avoid given my form!

2:10  Having three stabs at this. Firstly, Flying Tiger. Flew up the hill last season when winning the Fred Winter, has been running creditably on soft over the winter, I fancy his chances. Secondly, Whiskey Sour. Another Mullins hurdler who's been keeping far higher company than this, he's already a Grade 1 winner on soft and I think this is a very very fair weight. Finally, Duca De Thaix. Handicap debutant that's creeped in at the bottom of the weights, can see him running a huge race with a first time tongue tie.

2:50 - I like really battle hardened horses in this race. The first one I'm going with is Beyond The Law for Mouse Morris. It's been 8 years since Mouse has even run one in this and I think that might be a tip in itself, he's a tough horse who will make a lovely staying chaser in time. He's had a wind op since his last run and if that brings about improvement he'll be bang there.  The other I like is Callet Mad, he's been over fences and connections are looking to cleverly exploit him still being a novice hurdler, I think he will love this test and his extra experience could count for a lot.

3:30 Minella Rocco & Djakadam - With the ground as it is I've ultimately decided to go with two that I know will get the trip and have plenty of course form a big prices.

4:10 Balnaslow & On The Fringe - Balnaslow because he ran a cracker last year and OTF because Nina is back on.

4:50 Carter McKay & Mr Big Shot - I like big future chasing types in this and these two are exactly that.

5:30 Top Gamble, Some Plan & The Game Changer - All on nice marks, all should handle conditions very well.

Will have been entered in both yes. I'm presuming connections are looking to exploit it's handicap mark rather than run in the Grade 1

How are people doing overall with Cheltenham? I was way up at the end of Day 1, but have frittered most of it away on Days 2 and 3 since then.

For today, I've got ante-post bets on Our Duke at 14/1 and Burning Ambition at 5/1 which are looking alright. Can't see past Apple's Shakira in the Triumph at 1.30 so had a little nibble on that, Flying Tiger EW (5 places) after that at 2.10 at 12/1, which I really like, and a tiny bet on Fabulous Saga EW (4 places) at 33/1 in the 2.50 (though I've gone all out to win the tipping comp with that as my NAP :D )
