Former sports presenter Des Lynam is to be the new host of Channel 4's daytime quiz show Countdown.
Lynam will follow in the footsteps of previous presenter Richard Whiteley, who died in June...

Jesus. My son invaded our bed eaaaarly doors, so now I'm up and awake. Switch on the telly with my cuppa and Countdown's on. Zoinks. This Rachel Riley is quite the looker, isn't she? My eyes just about popped out of my head!

I haven't seen Countdown in yonks, but Stelling is certainly better than Lynam or O'Connor and you're right about Rachel Riley from what I've seen.
