Might lose a day to rain on Sunday if you're lucky.

Davies has gone now so Hameed will be looking to hand some initiative back to Notts shortly.

The future of England's top order at the crease now.

Gone for 0. Wish they’d bring his twin back.

We're fighting back a bit here. Lancs lead by 63 with 4 wickets remaining. Need to keep it below 100.

Reckon Jennings is going to get another shot to open for England this summer. Back to back big scores for him now and there isn't many in good nick.

Lancs got the lead to just over 200 and now have Notts at a non-Aussie 1/3. Go on!

We've been outplayed from ball 1 here. When you've got a full side out you're a top team.

Didn’t show it in the first 2 games! Started to put some scores together in the last couple. Having Jimmy is a bonus but all the seamers are chipping in.

Lancs/Durham wrap up an innings win thanks to 6 wickets from Onions.

Pujara has been absolutely useless. As for Joe Root, the wheels have fallen off.

Why’s Ross Taylor playing over here and not the IPL? Was he not picked up?

Don't think Taylor played in the IPL last year either. Bizarre tournament that one, some of the finest short format players in the world get overlooked, but some unknowns go for huge money.

Massive win for Lancs today in the One Day Cup. Chased down 172 with 25 overs to spare, Livingstone with 90* off 56 balls.

Parkinson took 4-30 off his 10 overs. Seems to have taken wickets and not gone for many in he last few games. Definitely one to keep an eye on I reckon (although bats at 11 so won’t be threatening Rashid anytime soon).

Yorkshire made 379 in the end...and only won by 16 runs. Sounds like a good game! Livingstone and Jennings were going great guns at one stage but needed one of them to bat longer.

Nice platform set by the Lancs openers...

Batting has been dogshit all season. All out for 105. Another game chucked away.

Is Ramprakash moonlighting as our batting coach?!

We've got a lot of work to do to avoid defeat. No Ball, Broad or Gurney seriously impacts our ability to take wickets and the batting is patchy at best.

The batting really has been poor for a while now. On paper, Lancs should have easily enough batting quality and enough depth down the order to regularly put runs on the board. Out of the One Day Cup and 3 losses out of 6 games in the Championship isn't the start I think many will have expected.

2 big 4 day games versus Worcestershire and Hampshire before the T20 starts in early July. 2 wins and things could look a lot rosier.

EDIT: Just looked at the batting averages and Lancs only have 4 players this season with a batting average in 4 day cricket of over 30. 2 of those are bowlers (Mennie and Clark).

Hameed has scored 44 runs in 8 innings. Livingstone 167 runs in 9 innings. Alex Davies 179 runs in 9 innings.  All 3 are really promising young players but they need to start putting runs on the board. Can't have a top order that is regularly 4 or 5 down before there's a 100 on the board.

I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

Don Topley reached four Lord's finals during a 10-year career with Essex during the 1980s only to be taken to one side by the captain on each occasion and told he would only be 12th man.

Reece Topley has been left out of the Hampshire team today.

Can I have a little boast lads? Played a 40-over game last Thursday with former England all-rounder (and naughty boy) Chris Lewis. We batted together for a while until he was skittled for 19. I went on to get MoM which means I’m now officially a better player than CL. Doesn’t it? Two days later I hit an unbeaten century in the beautiful county of Rutland on a ground made in heaven. The wonder of cricket! I’ve been playing this fantastic game since I was a kid, sometimes decently, usually badly, but never had such a deeply satisfying week as last week.

Lovely stuff.

Now back to the Roses. :D

Nice story though. Who’s the best player you’ve all played with or against? The best I can muster is Mark Vermulen the Zimbabwean who got himself a life ban (not as a result of playing with me). Bowled to Clive Lloyd in the nets once when I was about 10. Don’t think I troubled him.

Roses match started today. Jordan Clark has just taken a hat trick. Fair enough, only Root, Kane Williamson and Bairstow but you can only beat what’s put in front of you. 61/4 at lunch.

Avoided the follow on.

Annoyingly, it's at OT so there'll almost certainly be docked points for the pitch if it carries on like this.
