Landed two together in the Centenary/Kenny Dalglish rather luckily for two mates who I have connected to me.

Bit of a mad one as we were worried one of them wasn't connected and then I'd have to log out again and queue again.

Even this one doesn't sort you for the rest of the competition because of 124 being returned. If a team is to take the entire allocation, then 124 would be away fans and that many people at least would lose out.

Really?

I think it's been much easier to get a ticket this year than any for a while.

Klopp took us to the Europa League final and anybody who bothered supporting the team back then could easily get a ticket for this match, even if they only bothered going to one match.

Easily get one in the upper Annie if you're happy paying close to 50 quid.

Not sure what they'll do with the unsold Main Stand middle tier tickets though.

Middle tier will be unsold sadly

There will still be a lot of players tickets and hospitality from other areas to be returned as well as those from UEFA

It's all about whether you've got the coin to do it now though.  Staying on loyalty ladders costs a small fortune.  If you've got the money, then it's easy.

I genuinely think you could take a new membership from 0 to 14 home league credits this season though and likely full home cup credits - if effort is applied

Yes, I really didn't think the day would come when tickets were £50, never mind knocking on £60 for the Main Stand.

It's all about time and money.  If you've got a job sitting behind a computer all day and you can afford it, then it's easy.

If you don't have access to a computer until you get home or you're not on a decent wage then it's too hard to build up the credit.

I said it's been easier than last season and it has so far.  I could have easily got a ticket for this match but I'm not arsed enough to pay those prices.  Especially after the Real Madrid match when it seemed half the crowd were there to take selfies and update their Twitter status.

Maybe that's why it's getting easier.  Maybe there's more like me who have had enough.  Didn't sign up to all this bollocks when I went to my first match in 1984.

Effort is the key word.  I know a lot of people who would go to every match if there was no effort.  When you support a team, you don't want it to be an effort.

The effort is one reason I've semi gave it up.  If somebody who has never been a match before suddenly pipes up and wants a United ticket, then I agree, they should have gone to some effort.

If somebody just wants to support a team and wants to go to 14 matches a season they shouldn't have to go to any effort.  The effort involved is one of the many things that's sucked the enjoyment out for me, and now I can't be arsed.

I'll be arsed again if the time comes where you can just pay on the gate and go in with your mates.  When every match becomes a military style planned operation and you spend most of your time working out how you're going to get to a match in six weeks time, then it's time to fuck it off.

i get what you're saying

I guess different for different generations - i've never been lucky enough to have the cash on gate experience so have never missed it i suppose. Nothing in life now at an elite level is pay on the gate and there's always an element of effort needed be it Football, gigs, anything really.

For the European matches though there was zero effort needed as it all stems back to the Europa league where the stadium only sold out for Utd, Dortmund and Villarreal games. Before those they were practically giving the tickets away.

Cost is a huge driver - i can't afford to get to 14 games a season plus cups and i'd happily bin off alot of the home matches for away games but that's a closed shop so take what I can

I guess my point re effort was not aimed at Seville match in particular more at posts you read on here with people saying you can never get Liverpool tickets - Guarantee those people wont be there on a wet night in November at home to Bradford in the league cup but will be available for the midweek after at home to Bayern Munich

not a chance i wouldnt have thought

The prices have been set for the group stage and the knockout phase according to that haven't they?

So bottom line is we'll all pay over the odds for Maribor BUT they wont increase them for a glamour match in the latter part of the competition (not that i think they should but wouldn't have put it past them!)

I also can't see people not buying Maribor tickets if its a dead rubber as it will effect them going to a Barcelona or Bayern Munich type match - fair play if people dont buy but i'd be amazed if the stadium is anything but full when the match comes around

The club have spewed out that line before. I'm not convinced as I've seen Chelsea sell tickets for £20 before in the CL against other small sides.

Indeed, having 8 laptops, desk tops, tablets, and mobiles all up and running for the chance of a ticket in the local general sale, agonisingly watching the clock tick down to 8.15, eyes flicking from device to device, waiting for that little person in the ticket office to press the button and activate the sale.   Will it be straight in or over 1 hour?   If you are presented with a 3 minute queue then the agonising wait for the red line to cross the screen then the frantic selection of seats only to be faced with a thousand "refreshes" if they have appear to have sold out.  Waiting for overfull baskets to empty so you can hastily grab a seat if it appears.  And I have the flexibility to make myself available for these sales,  if your stuck in a meeting or emptying the bins you have jack shit of a chance.

Correct. Took years for me to get where I am credits wise and is bloody frustrating when this year due to finances and the price of a ticket for me and the missus, I had to make a choice. Drop my PL credits down from 13 to about 6, so I can afford to go to both domestic cups (ACS) and Europe (previous creds) or make myself bankrupt! I have to say though regards to the sale it's been lovely not Sat at work trying to make myself look busy on a spreadsheet and constantly refreshing for tickets for league matches nearly getting a written warning every time. As stated in a couple of posts above it is an effort, it is a ball ache and we know we could walk away at anytime, but we know that's not going to happen. I have resigned myself this year to the 6PL games, granted they are Scum Bluenoses Arsenal Man city Chelsea and Last game of the season (should get with credits) so I'm not moaning but it has give a fresh outlook on things this year. Especially being in ACS this year, a weight has been lifted [emoji23]
