Important we get off to a good start with two matches against our top 6 rivals early in the season.  Champions League Qualifier makes our opening 5 games a little tougher to navigate. Big challenge for the squad early in the season.

Watford (A) - 3.
Palace (H) - 3.
Arsenal (H) - 1.
Man City (A) - 0.
Burnley (H) - 3.

So 10 points from our opening 5. Not a bad start.

I think the CL qualifiers will cause us to drop points, I'd usually expect us to beat Watford but Klopp will have one eye on midweek (and rightly so)

Beat Watford.
They have life in them, they have humour, they're arrogant, they're cocky and they're proud. And that's what I want my team to be.

Never saw the point in this kind of thread... people predicting and expecting us to lose and draw! If they came into the individual match threads and expressed those same views, they'd get slaughtered, called a fanny, wet knickers, whatever... and rightly so! People looking 5 games ahead when a whole lot can change in the month period that that usually constitutes. Whenever we lose a match, people will flock here to post "0/15. We're shite... same old season, getting tired of supporting this club :no", the knee-jerk brigade will echo those sentiments, the thread will get temporarily locked... Even when we're in great form, people will put us down as losing points to Bournemouth and Huddersfield, just so they can quote themselves, rub one out, and look like Nostradamus in the case they turn out to be right.

"Then don't come into the thread if you don't like it lessthanmatt, you fucking wanker... it's just a bit of fun... more like lessthanTWAT"... True, true... ;D

8/15 -

Think we will score a few past Watford; they're a poor team even with a decent manager now. Palace will expose us defensively as they often do, City will be scoring shit loads at home I reckon this season. Arsenal are usually slow starters but I think they'll be out for revenge for the early defeat of last season and now they know Wenger is there for the future I think they'll be more focused and have a stronger start so I expect it to be even.

We should be looking at a minimum of 10 points from those 5 games.

Anything more is a bonus, less is not good enough.

I'm saying 11:

Watford (A) - 3
Palace (H) - 3
Arsenal (H) - 1
Man City (A) - 1
Burnley (H) - 3

Our form going into the opening weekend is good..
Just feel the team would have one eye on the CL qualifier..
Hope the transfer saga's (Keita, VVD and Coutinho) haven't had too much impact on the mentality of the team..

Watford (A) - 3 (Salah will show what a bargain he is)
Hoffenheim (A) (A gritty hard fought 0-1)
Crystal Palace (H) - 1 (These c*nts always turn up against us and having played midweek, a point might not be bad)
Hoffenheim (H) (No travel will help.. 2-0 and the rest of Europe will be shitting themselves that we are BACK)
Arsenal (H) - 3 (Third home game in a row.. We'll help bring back the #WengerOut signs)
Man City (A) - 3 (We always twat these c*nts)
Burnley (H) - 3 (Coutinho shows his class and helps everyone get 55 points in the fantasy league)

13 points and safely in the top 3 after 5 games..
F*CK 0FF Mourinho..
