Just realized Ranieri’s Nantes is 3rd in the league. Well done, always liked the fella.

Anyone watching Monaco? How is Lemar getting on? Scored a fair few last year but doesn't seem to have got any this season other then the two for France against the Netherlands.

Edit - Scored his first goal for Monaco yesterday against Bordeaux.

Fekir with another quality performance. He's on 10 goals and 4 assists in all comps now.

He's had to defend a bit with Bakayoko off and play much more central with Jovetic and Diakhaby in front of him. Has curbed his flair a lot and that telepathic understanding he had with Mbappe is broken as well. Still one of the best players in France, mind. If we need a left sided CM who can play in front 3, he is the one.

Monaco going nuts, 3-0 up already. Carillo would be a fantastic striker for them now that he's back after the injury.

Need to keep the pressure on PSG.

I have always had a soft spot for L'OM due to a French ex, the superb footy they played in the 90's and have been to see them at the Stade Velodrome quite a few times but my hatred for Evra overrides this so here is a pic :

He's absolutely fearless. 24, first season as captain of his hometown club, biggest game of the season for him. What does he do ? akes on 2 defenders and bangs one in the far corner from outside the box.

Best AM in Ligue1 right now. On form, even better than Lemar.

I've been watching him since he banged in that hat trick against AZ Alkmaar last season. Being a scorer of great goals is usually a sign of immense talent and he really looks the part. Lyon look unstoppable at the moment.

Yep. You want the ability for your attackers to interchange positions. He's left footed too so that would add a different dimension to our attacking play in some ways.

I have no idea why I thought all our attacking players were right footed. Honestly, I can't even give an explanation there, it is late I suppose :D

Lyon with another 5 goal mauling. Nice are not very good, but Lyon (without Fekir ) are looking like the best team after PSG in Ligue 1.

Aouar is a great Fekir understudy. He is the guy I'd want if Phil leaves. Also, feel bad for Seri. From almost joining Barca to relegation scrap in Ligue 1

Most goals scored in Europe top leagues

1 PSG - 43
2 City - 42
3 Lyon and Juve - 37
4 Monaco - 35

So much attacking talent in France.

Cavani's penalty this morning:

1. 12 players encroaching (7 Troyes players); and
2. Troyes goalkeeper is about 2 metres off his line when the ball is kicked

We have video assistance now but still referees fail to enforce these fundamental laws of the game. These laws may as well not exist.

I always like to see sugar daddied nothing 'clubs', propped up by oil money beaten no matter the circumstances, well in Strasbourg, PSG have destroyed that league (yes I know they didn't win it last year) as they simply buy up all of their rivals talent, sickening.
