Keep the thread on track lads, be good to see if this one could stay unlocked for the duration  :wave

Fair enough.

That bit of a mouth has talked his way into a 100 million dollar fight in a sport he doesn't even compete in, job done as far as he is concerned.

He'll definitely one of the best at that.

No way this thread is staying open for the next two months up to and including fight night.  :D

It has to really or the other threads will end up locked. Simples.

I doubt he'll get anywhere near $100m to be honest.

Anyone else looking forward to the all the weird Conor fans making excuses after the fight?

This time next year it'll go from an easy Mayweather win to a robbery of epic proportions.
Maybe the group, led by your leadership, will see these drafts as PR functions and brilliant use of humor

Naturally I want McGregor to bang Mayweather's head in.  Reality says Mayweather may not even get hit.  It will probably go a few rounds but with those padded gloves and McGregor looking cumbersome in a boxing ring I just don't see it.

Why would excuses be made for him? Hes got nothing to lose amd it has no bearing on his UFC career. Everyone expects him to lose, so at the end of day it means nothinf. He got what he wanted and thats the biggest pay day of his life

Well I wouldn't bet on it, he'll probably try and connect with a roundhouse kick in the 4th when he's not landed a single jab :D

I watched a video earlier of McGregor doing a few rounds with a Pro.  He was awful.   The boxer danced him round the ring like a puppet on a string and picked him off easily.

I think this is lost on a lot of people. McGregor has played this to a tee. He gets beat, he was supposed to and laughs his head off to the bank. He wins, he laughs his head off to the bank and then probably calls out Golovkin  ;D

McGregor took Nate Diaz's best shots and still beat him. No chance in hell is feather fisted Mayweather knocking him out, probably a flash knockdown at the most.

Hope McGregor beats him but as Vince McMahon would say, NO CHANCE IN HELL!

Definitely but as this is a discipline and not a brawl the well trained artist will win.

Oh yeah I agree. I think it will be sort of interesting for the first round, maybe two, but after that it will just be awkward to watch.

Think it will be embarrassing. Mayweather basically just standing there with no guard and teeing off on McGregor whenever he feels like it. Plus, after the initial first round buzz in the crowd, I expect the atmosphere will go dead after about a minute of the fight when the reality of what's going to happen sets in.

Well this was the opposite of this fight, Toney a boxer took on Couture a wrestler and ground and pound specialist. It lasted I think 2 minutes and it was basically Couture beating the shit out of Toney.

Loved the Old MMA, UFC 1 and Strike Force and Pride.

Indeed, it's all a bit ridiculous. Theres all these rules and regs in place for safety yet a zero fight novice with no real amateur background is allowed to box the best boxer of the last 20 years. Pretty disgusting, especially given the recent injuries and stuff in the sport. But money talks I guess! He boxed as a kid by all accounts and I'm sure he's had some brilliant boxing sparring but that doesn't make you ready for Floyd Mayweather. Frankie Gavin and his pillow fists would whoop Mcgregors arse.

Gary Goodridge's KO of Paul Herrera is still probably the most brutal finish ever.

Another, larger part of me wants McGregor to catch him cold in the first couple of seconds because I'd cry of laughter.

Floyd will stop Conor. He will see all of McGregors shots in slow motion while McGregor won't see Floyds shots coming at all. Doesn't matter how good Mcgregors chin is. If you don't see the shots coming, you will get knocked out. Anything other Mayweather stopping McGregor is a win for McGregor.
