Mario Balotelli
« on: September 29, 2016, 11:41:18 pm »
4 goals in 2 League games so far. He scored a nice goal tonight too, taking his tally to 5 goals in 4 games.

He played 28 games for us and only scored 4!  :butt

I reckon i'd bag a few in the French league too. Balotelli is a chapter I think we'd all like to forget

Yep, good for him that he's scoring goals now. It was a good decision to let him go for free and an even better decision to ensure we had a sell on fee agreed with Nice.
Shut the fuck up and put some respek on Lucas name playboy

Who knows, now it's more French centric again http://www.goal.com/en/news/1785/ballon-dor/2016/09/19/27688642/football-france-announces-rule-changes-for-ballon-dor

Don't mind him. He was a celebrity who played for LFC, not a footballer. But it's nice to see him do well.

His agent is a shithawk though.

Many of us predicted this, Burnley game was crying out for someone like him to come off the bench and give us another option.

I've got a feeling that Origi is the real deal, from a couple of games I watched but mainly his interviews there seems to be something about him.

Mario Balotelli is water under the bridge. If he does well at Nice and get sold steeply, we'll get 30% - which is all I am interested in

Always a suspicion he would start banging them in a setup where is main man

Needs to score about 40-45 goals across 2 seasons for any big club to risk him again in my opinion

Good start and hope it continues, not least for the 30% sell on clause we inserted

It'll only be a matter of time before the goals dry up and the questions and issues about his attitude, on and off the pitch, arise. Might be next month or might be next season, but you know it's coming.

Have fun with that, Nice. Good riddance.

Actually he had a great performance for us away at Chelsea in the League Cup. He pressed like crazy and gave it all and was fantastic for us that night and then

something went very very wrong with him. Maybe if Jurgen came along earlier in his time with us he could have done something about him.

He got thrown under the bus by Rodgers, but mostly it was a style thing. Top teams don't particularly play with players of his style up top anymore. Lewandowski and Kane are sort of exceptions in that they're actually quite fast and mobile players despite their size. That said, Bayern apparently have been scoring less since Lewandowski moved there and Kane is freak in that despite a big guy, he presses and plays with an intensity that is far more common in much smaller players.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Yeah.. It's really the latter that's the issue with Mario. He has more pace than Kane for sure, but he just doesn't have the work rate required.

Lewandowski and Kane are both very hard workers.

He probably has deep-ridden psychological reasons for not being able to develop into an elite athlete and even Klopp would deserve some special award for fixing a person's personal and mental issues.

Apparently the ref regrets his decision after seeing the game on video, and the card might be revoked.

Is that his first ever penalty miss? I seem to recall him having an impeccable record from the spot (if nowhere else).

Yup. Its the french league. If the italians  think hes not up to their standard(which was obvious from last few seasons).. theres no way he'd make it in the premier league.

Wish we'd loan him to the french last season and we'd probably get our money back. Oh well.
