:o We're in trouble then!  Salah may have many qualities, but clinical finishing doesn't seem to be one of them!  ;D
I disagree. Thought the chance he missed last night was harder than it looked. He may take a while to get going, but he will bang them for us eventually.

He's scored 1 in 2. Calm down.

Bobby, meanwhile, is also doing splendidly.

Bobby's thread on page 2, can't be having that.

One of the treats about going to the game is watching him - a bit like observing Masch all of those years ago. Seeing an opposite player making confident progress with the ball and you just know Bobby's nothing having it, he'll battle and disrupt all over the fucking park with unrivalled endeavour. His own tenacity is only matched by his own skill with the ball at his feet. Indeed, the ball doesn't even have to be at his feet to make it useful, as a ball travels in a straight line he'll move his body to perplex the inferior opponent.

He truly is a wonderful footballer.

3 games 3 1v1s created. It's a routine for him these days.

You can't even afford to rest him now because he's practically our only source of creativity. In the absence of Phil and Adam it was a huge mistake imo to play him wide. He has to be central whether it's 8 or 10 but he needs options around him and not be trapped by a sideline.

Fantastic performance. I just wish he was better at taking chances, but it doesn't really matter when the rest of the team is scoring for fun thanks to his intelligence! He's an absolute monster when he's on it.

Loving his confidence on the ball. Can't wait for Lallana and Coutinho to be playing behind him, Mane and Salah. We're going to have a lot of fun watching that set of attackers...

On a totally different level this year.

Getting another quick option around him was a stroke of a genius, it elevated his game surrounding him with tons of pace. He's now consistent and experience of playing as false 9 previous years makes him understand his role that much better. Since Bayern game he's on a Suarez level of genius in the final third.

Reads the game exceptionally well

His vision is second to none and tonight was a display of why Klopp is so insistent on the false 9. Look how many times he dropped deep or wide and picked a perfect pass, regardless of whether it was a pass that needed to be played quickly or he had time to look up and analyse the field before playing it he knew what he needed to do and executed a sublime pass. He draws players in then plays it into the space for the onrushing attackers

I said it before and i'll say it again, my favourite liverpool player

Wow! What a player! Absolutely indescribable at times today and tore Hoffenheim a new one. When other players are able to read his game, he seems several notches even better, as was the case today. The way he links up with others and his touches are sheer class.

Arsenal aren't new to his talents as well and should be feeling vary of him this weekend.

A goal and an assist to go along with relentless pressing and some incredible footwork in the final third.

He wears the number 9 quite well.

Probably his best game in that position (for a long time anyway), needs to start tucking away those chances in the six yard box though. Missed one in both games.

Firmino deserves as much respect as Mane and Coutinho. He'll be one of the best players in the world, if he continues to develop.

There was a point in the second half where I decided Barcelona had tapped up the wrong Brazilian. Imagine him with Suarez and Messi. But they can fuck off.
