Snake drafts mean some people can't compete, so maybe save that for after the next draft?

:D Once in 4 years when the world cup comes around is a reasonable ask. The last one we had was in 2012 if I'm not wrong!

Honestly, a cricket sheep draft would be amazing. We'd all end up with a a couple of pathetic players.

Cricket draft would be fun. Last ODI draft was my first draft ever but since I picked up from LFsea and missed a few picks my team was already at an disadvantage and it Ryan Ten Doechate in it. Still a load of fun. I do think though a Sheep draft will make most teams really mediocre since there are only so many good players to play ODI cricet over the years. Perhaps a Auction draft would be good.

The last Cricket one was the second sheep draft we did wasn't it?

Was quite good and me and Prateek got so confused if I remember rightly.

Would be up for another.

As I have said though, is SK needs more time, I will do a normal football sheep draft, with maybe decade based criteria or anything else someone can think up.

It was looking good for me til I panicked and picked Tim fucking Bresnan. :D

Katie P's rugby draft would be good. I am defending champion there.

Maybe call on Sarge to round up the troops?  :P

Not a big fan of sheep drafts, mainly because I'm shit at them  ;D I'd definitely be interested if we include some sort of auction element though - highest bidder wins the player for the second highest bid + 1m. You could also include a domino element - each criterion would relate to the last player you picked.

E.g. 'pick a player who scored in the same game as your last pick' instead of 'pick two players who scored in the same game'.

How about we do a draft where we have to pick the worst possible Premiership XI?

To make it harder each team has to have a certain amount of International caps in their team - say 350.

I remember we did a classic matches one by Prof in the summer where we all had to bid for players.

A cricket version of that would be good.

I don't mind organising it.

We did that in the Sheep Test draft.

Now if you were doing it for ODI then we're game.

What we could do is all collaborate on picking the best team for the top club sides, then have the draft votes.  So instead of one of us winning, the club wins.  Itd lead to some great debate and a vote not influenced by the selector.
Thoughts?

Thoughts?

Would this not be a long term on going thing though?

There isn't really much competition involved, so it would be people chipping in with bits and pieces.

Maybe it could run alongside the cricket draft?

It could be, yes. We could put a time limit on picking each side.  I think it'll be interesting to hear everyone's perspective of different players as well.

How about this for a twist...

We do a blind auction of the world cup squads.  Then during the world cup, players score fantasy style points for the tournament.  A draft without voting.
