Rumour has it tonight we've offered the job to someone with premiership & championship experience .

No names  but fans are divided over who they want either Sam Allardyce or Martin O'Neil with some thinking of Dave Jones or Chris Hughton. But a surprise name is Billy Davies tonight .

I never thought I'd say it but we are in need of a tough manager with experience who will sort out a bunch of pathetic gutless arseholes. Bring some tough football instead of the usual soft bellied weak lacklustre crap. A major overhaul us needed I know many of you may not rate them but Fat Sam or O' Neill would be good for us.

Whatever happens it will know doubt be a big anti climax

I pray to god West Ham don't get Billy Davies in because by default I will then have to despise West Ham, which is something I don't want to do. I like West Ham.

Fat Sam would be good for West Ham but will depend if the fans will be able to take the no-so-beautiful football

It'd be a disgrace if that fat mess Allardyce was given the opportunity to bring his 'style' of football to a club that, for better or worse, has always tried to play football the right way.

Looks like they getting Allardyce.

Quote
Allardyce agrees Hammers deal

Published 23:00 28/05/11 By Dave Kidd

Sam Allardyce last night confirmed he’ll take charge of West Ham this week – with a £1million incentive to win promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Allardyce held talks with Upton Park owners David Gold and David Sullivan last week and a £1.5m-a-year deal was agreed, with a £1m bonus payable if he wins promotion.

Lawyers acting for both sides are currently drawing up contracts and Allardyce said last night: "Everything has been agreed  in principle and I look forward to taking charge after I have had a family holiday."

HOOF football on the way then.

What does Fat Sam know about the West Ham way?

Fat sam isn't the man to take these up. He would of kept them in the PL if he was manager but won't get them promoted.

What is going on there.

New manager but now might have new owners.

Fat Sam might not even see the start of the season as manager.

The current owners need to leave though that's for sure.

I went to West Ham v Zaragoza last weekend, and West Ham won 2-0. They looked good value for it and have signed some quality players for that level - Matty Taylor, Kevin Nolan (massive signing) and Abdoulaye Faye. They are currently talking to John Carew but looks like he has other options. Shane Long would be an absolutely fantastic signing if they could get him, but looks to out of reach now. If they can get a quality striker in, and they seem to be looking, they set themselves up brilliant for the season.

I can't see Parker going to Stoke. I think he'll only go if a top Club come in for him. I wouldn't put it past him to stay. The midfield trio of Noble/Parker/Nolan were superb last week, and too good for the Championship. Joey O'Brien impressed me at right back, as did J Lloyd Samuel at left back.

--------------------------Green--------------------------

-O'Brien-------Tomkins---------Reid--------Samuel-

------------Noble-------Parker------Nolan-------------

-Barrera/Sears---------------------------------Taylor-

----------------------Cole/Piquionne-------------------

SUBS:  Sears/Barrera, Collison, Montano, Cole/Piquionne, Stanislas, Faye, Illunga, Faubert etc....

Looks like a good squad. Defence could be improved though.

But Allardyce will make all the difference there. Should have got him in at Christmas.

Hopefully he takes them straight back up.

My father in law supports West Ham so I'm hoping they come back up this season. It'll be tight between them and Leicester for the title but think they'll both go up.

It'll be big for them if they can keep Scott Parker, I reckon he might give it until January and see how they're going before moving.

Our players in for this transfer window . For a championship club I think it's quite impressive.

We've been soft & lightweight in the past but with a team including Faye, Nolan, Carew, Diop, Demel, Cole that's some big guys.
Demel was a surprise a former German title winner & Ivory Coast international so hopefully great signing . We need to fight in this division & be tough to beat.

David Bentley, lacks a bit of pace & got big ego & got above his station in recent seasons but championship level & Big Sam's kick up the arse he "could" be a quality signing putting in crosses for our big forwards .

Henri Lansbury again done well on loan last year for Norwich so played this level & with his Arsenal schooling behind him again possible good deal.

Overall very pleased with our dealings got rid of load of dross & players that cultivated a poor attitude at the club in recent seasons. Well done Big Sam

I've never had a problem with West Ham. Good set of lads and good set of fans (though they could be mightily scary in the 70s) and they support their club through thick & thin - unlike most of those supporting other London clubs. I feel sorry for them as well, they deserve better.
