It was well publicised that Maxi had gone off the boil so he was a risk(albeit that we won't loose much money if he doesn't make it). He has looked a bit out of his depth at times but he needs to get used to playing at a faster pace.

Masch hardly got a game at West Ham yet now he's one of our best.

maybe i`m just a cynic but when we were linked with him a spanish poster on here who supports Atletico said he was great a couple of years ago but he`s done absolutely nothing for 18 months.
he was a big name a while back so it seems a bit wierd for him to go on a free as well.
i know it`s early days but the signs dont look good imo.
i suppose these are the type of signings you have to gamble on if you`ve got no money.
