Craig Bellamy arrested over Cardiff assault claim

The incident happened in Caroline Street in Cardiff city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.
South Wales Police said two men, aged 20 and 26, sustained facial injuries which did not require hospital treatment at the time.

Mr Bellamy, 31, has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Cardiff City FC said it would be inappropriate to comment but the striker would be in the squad for the game at Norwich City on Saturday.

Police have not named Mr Bellamy, who is on loan at Cardiff from Manchester City, but in a statement confirmed a 31-year-old man had been arrested.

We obviously don't know the full facts yet, but he does seem to find trouble even if he doesn't look for it..   :-\

Goes out one night, gets grief and looks after himself after not backing down. Two lads gobbing off and pissed up, get slapped them claim to be the victims. Most likely outcome.

Personally I like Bellamy. I'm guessing, listening to him when he speaks, he doesn't know how to ignore divys.

Its not hard to find trouble in Caroline St (or Chippie Alley to give it its local name)on a Saturday night. Usually full of pissed up kids getting their kebabs and the like.

Haha! Bellamy was on chippy lane? Amazing. Hope he tried the mint sauce from the one right towards the top left (as you walk from St Mary's). Gorgeous.

Not surprised he's in trouble, though don't know if it's his fault. Haven't seen much trouble on chippy lane myself. Always loads of police around.
