Gomez will be physically bullied and dominated by Benteke.

Team been announced then?
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

I think it's sad the manager feels he even has to ask us this. Just shows how poor the atmosphere has been, give or take a few games since he's been here.

http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/260998-it-feels-like-it-has-been-eight-weeks-we-ll-need-your-passion

Jürgen Klopp wants to make maximum use of a return to Anfield on Sunday as Liverpool try to maintain their quest for Champions League qualification.

The Reds host Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend, with the manager jokingly bemoaning the feeling of not having had the chance to play at home ‘for eight weeks or something’.

In reality, it is just over a fortnight since Klopp’s side were held to a late draw at their own ground by Bournemouth – and they have produced exactly the desired response in the interim.

A comeback victory at Stoke City preceded a hard-fought 1-0 success over West Bromwich Albion on the road, leaving Liverpool with their top-four fate in their own hands with five games remaining.

“What I can say is that we really need all our passion in a situation like this,” said Klopp. “I said a few days ago that it’s not about playing the best football, it’s about getting results.

“Most of the time it works if we’ve got a good plan. But a lot of passion is really important. We need all the passion from the stands. It’s Anfield. We’ve had two away games. It feels like we last played here eight weeks ago or something. Now we are back.

“It’s Crystal Palace, it’s Sunday afternoon, so let’s go on for this game and do our best.

“That starts with the first whistle, but if we can start with the atmosphere around it I’d be really happy. It would be really appreciated if the crowd could be in their absolute best mood. It would be nice.”
“There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind, never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.”

Jurgen says the same thing before pretty much every home game.  It's nothing to do with the recent atmosphere, he just always makes sure he puts the emphasis on its importance.

He shouldn't have to though.

I don't think he's been at all impressed with the atmosphere at Anfield since he's been here to be honest.  Must be a massive come down coming from Dortmund and German football in general. We aren't alone in the shit home atmosphere department though. Most premier league grounds are the same these days. With the small vocal away following making the most noise.

After listening to Klopps interview I'd be more convinced both Matip and Lucas will be available than not

Looks like Matip and Lucas trained this afternoon.

Still doing something, so I'm hopeful!!

Feeling confident day by day. I was pretty worried about Stoke and even more so about West Brom, but I am feeling pretty confident about this one. At home with Matip and Lucas in the squad and our new top 5 is good enough to beat Palace. And we have Daniel on the bench as well...

Mignolet

Clyne - Lovren - Matip - Milner

Lucas

Can - Wijnaldum

Firmino - Origi - Coutinho

Is that what we're looking at then, if it's all good news on the injury front?

Probably Yeah. Same personnel as WBA? Could easily become a three at the back too if needed.

3 - 2

Hope for an easy 2 or 3 - 0 obviously...

But reckon this will be one hell of a battle and some late drama...

First home game in a while, lets fooking blow them away first from the stands, then on the pitch

I'm sure Jurgen might be tempted to bring on Lallana for 10-15 minutes, but might not just risk it. Good news with all the others, and it looks like our team will probably be the same one that beat WBA and not as weak as we initially feared 203 days ago.

Gonna be another tough game this one. Bit worried about

Benteke coz he broke Klopps glasses whilst he was here and will be looking to do some more damage.
Zaha because hes gonna play out of his skin against us and Spurs midweek just to get himself a top top transfer.
Townsend  (not too concerned as he will probably only turn up against hes ex club spurs midweek so may go easy.)
Cabaye because hes going to do the usual putting himself in the shop window as he does near every transfer window.
Kelly whos going to want to prove a point to a few people
Wards been an ever present this season and Schlupp is a good player. Tomkins is pretty mistake prone as was that Manadanda goalkeeper who will probably be benched anyway.

That said I do think we have the quality to win this 2-0 if we turn up. But like I said this games not gonna be as easy as expected. Sams out to show British managers can do a job.  :P
