Alright Fellas.

Travelling over to Naples for the game tomorrow (first away game) and naively didn't know Naples was so dodgy.

Like is it too risky to even pop off to the museum and stuff during the day or should I strictly stick to areas around where the pick-up point is and keep as low a profile as possible.

Assuming you get about by cab and aren’t wearing colours I’d assume you’d be fine. I plan to do something touristy with a couple of hours, hopefully. But I’ll play it by ear dependent on any reports of violence or whatever from the night before or day of.

Naples has a reputation for being moody and crime ridden in places, but also lots of tourist places full of culture and history.
I go to most aways as a tourist as an excuse for a holiday.
If you’re going as a tourist, I feel it’s fine. I’m doing the same.

Yeah I'm there from tomorrow til Saturday so was hoping to have 2 days in Naples then go visit Pompeii so maybe stay somewhere closer to there.

I'm sure it'll be grand... (famous last words).

Same. In Rome at the moment then Naples and the usual for the rest of the week-Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius etc.

Such a shame you can’t relax and enjoy it isn’t it. It’s iust footy.

Some more conflicting information. Official govt advice. Says shuttle buses depart 3 hours before kick off. But also says kick off 8pm local time.

In Rome took battery charger in and wore belt, meanwhile one of our lads had to remove in soles from his trabs, they really are a law to themselves!!!

It was very hit and miss. I practically had an internal examination while my friend casually walked in holding a bottle of water. They didn't take my charger but there were piles of them that had been taken.

Ours took well over an hour going there. The ones back were a bit quicker once they finally set off.

yeah set off around 12.30 arrived at the port just after 1.00 . Had to walk about a mile to my hotel but didn't see any trouble

Dreadful performance but Sport Options trip was well organised, and didn't see any trouble of felt in fear of any.

1450 in attendence, confirmed by Merseyside Police in conjunction with Napoli. So anything else the club or echo say is bollocks.

So 2650 with full credits, absolute joke.

Will be tweeting Barrett with pictures for comments, but fully expect nothing to be done or commented on

Just boarded train from Naples to Rome good trip except for the match didn't see any trouble was down in the harbour on Tuesday night for a few hours and then by our hotel by central station on game day made our way yo coaches around 5pm. The city is dirty in general still but had a good time.

Just got home. Other than the few reported incidents it wasn’t as grim as people were telling me to expect.

The city is a bit dirty but it has some pretty parts and a bit of character. Walked up to Vomero from near the port which is a really nice part of the city, I assume where the more “rich” people live.

Had some good pizza and gelato. All in all a decent trip minus the result.

This was us. Nine of us landed into Naples at 22:25 on the Tuesday, Checked into hotel at approx 11:30. Went the bar next door and started drinking first pint (never finished it). We had a group photo taken by the bar owner and literally two minute later scooters everywhere, chains with padlocks belts. Proper shithouse behaviour.
