moments of excellence punctuate very long periods of unimaginative inept play riddled with unforced errors and a lack of game intelligence.

Pretty much sums up the whole season so far.

This was a game we could have won if the players made the right decisions. If Mignolet doesn't come for that and screw up then we don't concede. And if Coutiho puts away his 1 on 1 or if we take our chances then we have a goal or two more.

Not Rodgers' biggest fan right now, but hard to put the blame on him for this.
I would honestly let Wijnaldum jizz in my face right now

A bloody draw at home to Norwich.

Confidence low obviously, but being in this situation mid-September makes it  all a bit depressing...Unfortunately, this is when the likes of Coutinho start thinking to themselves, what the fuck am I doing here?
Apart from a goal against Stoke he's shown nothing to merit another club's attention.
Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"

I can guarantee you the ones who don't rate Milner are the ones who didn't rate henderson either.

Some fans think all there is to a football match is creating chances and scoring goals. Simplistic.

He had a poor game today going forward but he's been a very good signing.

Actually, that was quite different and positive signs were there whether you wish to see them or not. Perhaps a bit of patience wouldn't go amiss - we're not children after all.

It was woeful. We huffed and puffed, as per usual.

It's not a kneejerk reaction. I understand that new signings need to bed in, but it's not just this season. We've been woeful for close to 20 games now. The players look devoid of ideas and, somewhat ironically, "character" and motivation.

Somethings got to change soon.  Ideally results and performances. If not that, well.....

D/D/L/L/D/W/W/L/L/D/

Our last 10 competitive game record, that's not acceptable. Surely Mr.Rodgers time is well and truly up

FSG are a very patient lot. It has to reach a point where we're in a bigger mess than we are now, and quite far off from the top 4.

Chelsea starting off poorly is helping Rodgers in a way.

Except this isn't a good Liverpool side and it needs results.

Course it does but it's stupid to have watched that match and use it as a sign that 'the mighty have fallen'
We played well.
If you're posting we didn't play well you either
a) didn't watch it
b) think football is a game where the result always mirrors the performance or
c) wrote your post before the match started because your so full of bile towards Rodgers you were desperately hoping we wouldn't win so you could hit post and feel vindicated

Not at all surprised at the result, exactly as I predicted.
Feeble finishing and feeble defending.
This is the Liverpool we have become under an incredibly overrated manager.
You can wish your life away following us and hoping time after time in vain that things will change.
Just do the honourable thing man and resign, you're taking us backwards with your unfathomable tactics, favouritism and utter stubbornness.

This is relegation form.

I'm being serious.  All this bollocks about "seeing improvement" and "new players bedding in", it's dreadful stuff, and people need to get their heads out of the sand. Forget the six games, look at the last 15 competitive matches, almost half a season.

Change is required, because the clock is ticking, and I don't think that even when we have a good spell we are better than "par". Some decent teams out there, and we will have a hard time going past them if in two home games against West Ham and Norwich all we can manage is a point and one goal.

There are c*nts in here who are probably secretly delighted with that result

Plebs

I reckon you are.

It must be almost 50% of your posts that are just insulting other posters, calling them c*nts and implying they're inferior supporters 'cause they want a change.

That spiel you went on, calling posters idiots for 4 paragraphs after the Utd result...It's a pattern. Clearly us losing allows you to vent some internalized frustration at your fellow supporters.

Nice insults too.

The result was disappointing but I thought the performance was generally good. Some decent movement and enough chances to have won although they had a couple too. Benteke looked like a fish out of water and I was impressed that Rodgers had the bottle to sub him, although bringing on Lallana wasn't the move I was expecting. Firmino up front with Ings would have been my option. I have no time for Rodgers but this game isn't one to bash him with. Oh, Milner just doesn't have the guile to be a fulcrum in midfield - Lucas was superb in my opinion.

People will use this to bash the team some more but it was easily our best performance of the season and besides a keeping error and wasteful/selfish finishing we should have won it handily.

Our players got played in their proper positions and we suddenly put in our "easily best performance of the season". Surprise fucking surprise. The messing about that has been going on at LB and CB all season should, by itself, be a sackable offense.

Yeah because the good liverpool sides never had a match at anfield where they dominated the opposition but didn't get all 3 points ... simply never happened.

Yes, but it's the performance that is currently the anomaly not the result.
