Anyone else see Tamikrest at the Kazimier last night. Brilliant gig

Bit late, but wasnt it just. I even got a mention in a write up about it, though it was not a favourable one! (regarding me, not Tamikrest)

Just secured tickets for Tune-Yards at the Anglican Cathedral next March. Never seen a gig there, and it should be quite something to behold  :)

Saw Low there and it was stunning, not familiar with Tune-Yards, but I know the Cathedral are quite specific on the type of artist not just the music.

Great to hear that. Tune-Yards are a bit esoteric, with loads of loops and tribal beats, though Merrill Garbus is an amazing front woman.  It'll be full of hipster-types, I am sure, and one very uncomfortable looking middle aged man.

Next up is The War On Drugs on Monday

My annual gig dilemma. I decided to see the Jesus and Mary Chain on Monday, rather than War on Drugs. Horrible choice to make, but I'll keep convincing myself this is the right call.

I saw JAMC in Manchester in November and they were excellent, really good. Fan of both bands but I think you've made a good choice.

Cheers mate. I've had the pleasure of seeing them a few times before, and perhaps nostalgia got the better of me! The idea of seeing Psychocandy played in full was irresistible, I guess. Looking forward to the majesty of 'You Trip Me Up' live. The finest pop song ever, IMHO.

I'm going to see the Jesus and Mary Chain on Monday too, and I'm going to Manchester on Wednesday to see War on Drugs. There are still tickets available for Wednesday as far as I know.

Tuneyards or Sleaford Mods that is the question

I'd probably have gone to see JAMC today if I didn't already have tickets for War On Drugs when that got announced

Any War on Drugs feedback? Speaking of feedback, the Jesus and Mary Chain were utterly brilliant. The 'warm up' set was cracking (Reverence sounded awesome) Hearing Psychocandy in full, with almost perfect feedback, made me grin like no other gig I've seen in years, maybe with the exception of Katy Perry last year.

Brilliant reception to "Scousers Never Buy The S*n"
Also a nice few numbers from The Farm   :)

Best bar at a venue in town, small but good choice of beers and bottles, and normal prices rather than the £5 for a pint of carlsberg you get at the 02
