Ha, can’t even spell places wrong intentionally. I am at the overpriced one, no that doesn’t narrow it down does it. The one with the big swimming pool.

Yep, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Shame about the sound on the Klopp four year special but I guess that is down to it being on Radio City and the quality of however it was recorded? Despite that it was great listening back to the excitement before he turned up. Particularly loved the bit about Gibbo going "he said we probably won't have the best season ever, but then he sort of says we might" (or thereabouts) considering we nearly did that last year with 97 points and the Champions League trophy.

4 years of klopp.  Great listen

Astonishing how much of what he said in that very first press conference is now the case.  Everything the TAW guys hoped for when discussing the interviews taught after it has also come true.

Pretty amazing really

Really enjoyed the 4 years podcast, all the content recently has been excellent. Well done to everyone involved.

One thing I noticed, the 'TAW Video Player' link in the menu bar on the TAW site is going to http:// rather than https:// - so technically passwords aren't being sent securely. The https:// link does work (and send things securely) though, so the link in the menu on the TAW site just needs changing to https://theanfieldwrap.com/player/video/ and that will fix it.

It's a little strange to get a login popup box though, especially if you're already logged into the TAW site itself. Is there a plan to integrate the video player page with the main site so once you're logged into the site itself you don't need to log in again?

Yeah, cringeworthy stuff. So he wants the people of N.Ireland to suffer economic hardship, just so they'd prefer a united Ireland? Absolute muppet. Does he even realise the nationalist community up there voted to remain?

Disagree with the F1 being Tory shout though - have a look at the mechanics and marshals that prop it up.

So it's a sport propped up by working class mechanics, while the men at the top earn millions in their tax havens?

Doesn't sound like the greatest argument for it not being Tory.

Watched the game and went straight to work. Looking forward to listening to the wrap more than ever over the next few days - feels weird waiting to listen to a show on a Premier League game where we've dropped points. I hope Atkinson gives Atkinson both barrels. One of the worst reffing displays I've seen. The Origi foul in particular he had given against us several times. I can deal with a ref being overly strict on fouls - but then if appears to be applying the rules in an unequal sense then it definitely feels like a poor performance from the ref.

And a note about VAR - if it didn't exist and hadn't been implemented this season - I wouldn't have been that bothered about their goal being given beyond the usual gripes as it's the sort of thing that goes for you and against you over the season and it's possible that a referee can get a call wrong taken in isolation. Last year that goal goes in and it counts and the likelihood is on Match of the Day the panel discuss how unlucky we were that the foul wasn't given as it would have prevented the goal. But we literally have a system that is designed to allow referees to correct mistakes. What is clear and obvious? What needs to happen for it to be clear and obvious? Does he have to break his leg?

I'm almost sure you said he hadn't played since June, you said four months but corrected to three I thought. The Copa final was July. He also played the charity shield.

No harm meant. Just being a pedantic so and so 👍

The key thing is, the VAR can only make a suggestion, the decision rests with the on-field ref. So purely speculating, the VAR might have said it's a foul on Sunday, but if Atkinson doesn't want to change his mind, the goal stands. Which seems mad (if that were the case), but that's the system we currently have, a sort of half-way house which satisfies nobody. Marvellous!

Yes that's a fair point. I guess it's also the lack of transparency in regards to how the decisions are made that frustrates. I'd still feel aggrieved if your example was the case -but then at least you'd know there was disagreement between the VAR officials and the referee but he felt his original decision was fine.

As an aside, I'm not sure when the verdict is in for the court case with New Balance and Nike (though I believe it comes to a conclusion today) but is there any possibility/any plans for a show discussing some of the issues raised in court in more detail?
