Never thought I'd find goalie love again after Pepe left. He's made be believe in goalie love again!

Me too.

You get what you pay for in life. That was an utterly sensational save, to go with his ones against Everton and Burnley last week.

He is literally collecting points and matches for us. With monsters like him and VVD at the back keeping shutouts it's always going to give us a strong chance of a win with the firepower at the other end.

Nothing he does surprises me he was amazing last year for Roma.

Im so grateful that he is here, this what having a world class keeper feels like. This is what they do.

I thought Pepe was great but it feels like this is the first time in my lifetime we've had a monster in goal. Steady throughout the match and that last save was out of this world.

At the end when Jürgen joined the players on the pitch, didn’t he walk over to Alisson and go “fucking hell!!”.  ;D Would love to see that again if so!

Exactly. It's the same for all key players. In the end, once you have them, you realise you need a top player for goalie, CB, midfield, creator and goalscorer.

True. Signings like him and Van Dijk too will hopefully shut people up in the media about not signing players for the sake of it, and might think twice about having a pop at managers who wait to get their man

As good as we were how we managed to score 7 goals against him in the semis will forever be a mystery.

Because their defensive line was stationed on our 18 yard box.

That's a good point. We didn't panic, we made sure to get the right players. And it looks like a really good strategy. As someone once told me ”I can't afford to buy cheap”.

He's levels above everyone I've seen at Liverpool,  Pepe included. Just an absolute phenomenon.

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Very very true, we dont panic off the pitch and we dont panic on it now which is beautiful. I said to a mate before the game that last season or the season before I wouldn't have any hope we could do a 1-0 over Napoli, we would of had to blow them away,  but that's the difference this season, we can win 1-0 now and be comfortable, relatively :-)

Agree. I don’t know how to describe it properly, but it’s like him and Van Dijk have some kind of aura around them. They are technically and physically excellent but on top of that they have a presence and confidence that elevates them to an even higher level. Absolute world class players.

They learn from any mistake they make. That’s a trait they both have over other talented players that can be stubborn in their arrogance. Alisson is confident in his ability, but he learned from that mistake at Leicester, rather than being arrogant.

Decent keepers have lots of shots that just so happen to hit them...its called positioning.
