Problem with origi is that he wont 100% start all games, in your starting 11 you need 11 starters. Better going with Lukaku or Kane or Long who are guaranteed to start every week pretty much.

In defence I wouldn't get bellerin AND aldeweired, 13m on two defenders is huge. Paredes for watford or Ake for bournemouth are both very cheap and will play.
Yeah got my doubts with Origi although I think it'll be him or Firmino starting up front v Arsenal. Always gone with a 3-4-3 but don't think it's possible at moment.

For 1.5 more I'd rather Aguero

and the answer to Coutinho or mane is Firmino, who sits right in between their prices.

Aguero usually takes a few games to get up to fitness and get going..

Also, Ibra's playing Bournemouth.. I fear for that defence.

Every year I predicate most everything on a base of three 3 Liverpool players ( and no Mancs  ;D). Luis Suarez was so good he actually made that pay off, once......Ibra who? Ibra What? Naaaa. I prefer to fall nobe-upitdly upon my sword.

This year I'm frozen I want Matip and Sturridge amongst many others but dont know if either will even start at the moment....

Got £23m to spend on my strikers- do you think Sturridge plus two from Gray, Negredo or Wilson (and any suggestions which two?) or Batshuayi with two from Origi, Rashford, Gray, Negredo or Wilson?

I've loaded my midfield with Firmino, De Bruyne, Hazard and Mkhitaryan so not got loads to play with!

Oh!! Get your own Midfield ;D

Musa worth a punt at 7.5

As mentioned on page one of this thread the owner of one of the Rawk leagues hasn't renewed it for this season, however the other Rawk league is still alive and kicking and the code which can be found on page one of this thread is:

There was also another Rawk league last season which had a lot of teams entered into it (called Rawk 2015/16 League) which I've just renewed and re-titled Rawk 2016/17 League.

Last seasons teams will automatically be entered but if anyone else wants to join it's code is: 14221-9088
With the H2H leagues being:
I've just set up the following H2H leagues if anyone wants to join them:

Rawk H2H 2016/17 #1 code to join is: 14221-63863
Rawk H2H 2016/17 #2 code to join is: 14221-63900
Rawk H2H 2016/17 #3 code to join is: 14221-63916

For those of you who like a bet, and it seems there's a few around, have a look in at the;

Betcher Bottom Dollar League betting competition.

It's betting but without the real money, a bit of fun with no risk, a bit like the 'Fantasy' leagues and it runs through the season.

==============================================

 It would involve you 'donating' about 3 minutes of your time once a week to select and post your bets, so it's easy enough to do. If you've got a mate/relative etc that you think might like to join then that's fine as well. Any questions, just ask me.... Rules and info...........
==================================
As you may know 'Team Skittle' consists of father and three sons and it creates some banter and competition amongst the family on a weekly basis. All good fun and it lasts through the football season. Try it with members of your family/friends, you might like it.

I aim to put the fixtures up on Monday or Tuesday every week and will have tables up on the following Monday or Tuesday ably assisted by 'Youngest Son Of Skittle', Jamie.

The  football season is split into four separate 'seasons' of 10 weeks for the purposes of this competition.

Any problems or questions throughout the season......please feel free to ask.

BBDL Rules.

  1. Each participant receives 50 Virtual Pounds to bet each week.
  2. You can only bet on home win, draw or away win outcomes in the matches specified.
  3. Anyone missing a bet will be deducted £25, up to a maximum of -£50.
  4. Occasionally odds for matches will not be provided. This is usually because I am not allowing bets on the match for any particular reason or that the odds are not yet available. If there is any doubt, please ask.
  5. All of the £50 must be bet each week, but it can be split into as many individual bets as you wish, with a minimum stake of £1.
  6. All your £50 must be bet in one post. You cannot for example place a £25 bet on a Saturday match, wait for the result and then bet the remaining balance on a Sunday match.
  7. You cannot bet on all the outcomes of one match, or all outcomes of a different bet to guarantee a profit.
  8. If you place your bet(s) twice, the first bet will be counted and the second ignored, unless amendments are clearly highlighted.
  9.  Any bet placed after the scheduled kick-off of the match in question will be discounted (even by as little as seven seconds).
 10. SonOfSkittle rule: You cannot change a bet after the kick-off of the match you have bet on, unless you posted your bet late and it would have been discounted anyway.
 11. Bets placed totaling more than £50 will be ignored. For example, a post betting £60 on Liverpool will be completely ignored, whereas in a bet of £40 Liverpool win/£20 Spurs win, only the Spurs part of the bet will be ignored.
 12. Bets can be placed in advance if you are prepared to bet without knowing the odds. Simply notify me on the message board and I will make a note in my spreadsheet.
 13. bryanod rule: If copying another comptitor's bets, they must be posted in full. Entries such as "same as catto" will not count
 14. If you try to bet but break any of the rules (in good faith), you will receive £0 - rather than being deducted £25 for missing a bet.

The URL above should take you to the last page of last season. We will be posting the new season info and leagues within a few days. You will have to go through the registration process, as with many other internet sites, but it's fairly straightforward. When you've done that, just go to the 'Betcher Bottom Dollar League' betting competiton page, stick your name down and your in.
Been there,done that,getting older,bordering on part timer status. So sad but that's life.

Is it just me or is it impossible to get a decent looking team in every area this year? I'm happy with midfield and strikers but it means my defence is average and my bench is garbage!

After last year, they look like they're forcing you to choose between pricey options so it wont be so easy. Last year was pretty easy if you really, get Vardy early, Mahrez earlt, Payet early then there was Ighalo, Alli, Alderweireld all available for cheap if you got there quick enough. This year, they want to avoid template teams i think. So a lot of pricey options means you're forced to choose between players (all the 9.5 and 7.5 mids for example)

So the key will be finding those under the radar players that are cheaper. Feghouli at 5.5 is a definite in my tam right now. I'm also banking on Lamela improving this season as well and maybe scoring more than Alli or Eriksen (maybe not but at 7 he gives me more options). Musa at 7.5 is also worth a look, Benteke once he gets a transfer (hopefully anyway) at the same price should be good value. Then you have Vardy at 10 which is just insane.

Redmond at 6, who might play striker according to Soton's manager is tempting, as he's at a much better team than Norwich.

Basically, you'll have your big hitters like Aguero, Hazard, De bruyne, Ibra, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Payet etc etc and then you'll need to have make informed decisions on who your punts are going to be for your cheaper players. Building up team value looks like it might be mre important this year.
I would honestly let Wijnaldum jizz in my face right now

Anyone knows about these new metrics that have been introduced - creativity, influence, threat and ICT index. Any idea how are they calculating them?
I got interested especially because Moreno is the top-most defender on the creativity metric. And by a huge margin. The difference between 1st and 2nd is same as 2nd and 13th.

Think he'll struggle at Swansea. They're not that good these days and are in the process of selling one of their best players to West Ham. Llorente's on his way down too. Can see Negredo similarly struggling. I think Callum Wilson of Bournemouth would be a good shout as a relatively cheap striker.

Saying all that, I did terribly last season so you might want to ignore me :P
