Good start for Rickie mate. 40/1 he was to be first round leader, just to rub a bit of salt in :D

I've backed Fowler outright at 22/1 with Betway. They pay out if your golfer leads after round 1 even if he doesn't go on to win it. I'm hoping the wind picks up this afternoon!

I've also got Grace 55/1, Kisner 55/1 and Lowry 70/1, all each way.

I think it's picked up a bit but not as much as they were expecting.

Think you're safe as houses to be fair

Hope you're right but a few of the afternoon starters like Garcia and Casey have had a good start.

I think Casey is the only threat left. He's -4 with 5 to play.

Edit: Scratch that, there are a few on -4 and -3 with half a dozen holes left who could get to -7.

That's a great promo.. I'm on Rickie too but I'll be left sweating for a few more days.

Not a great day for my others Kisner, Grace, Molinari, Scott and Lingmerth. At least Scott salvaged his round a bit though.

It is a great offer. They did similar at the Masters this year, only they paid out if your player lead at the end of any of the four days. I had Couples at 500/1 which gave me a bit of a sweat for the first few days.

Aftertiming sorry but I'm on young Xander Schauffell to win and place at 1000.0 and 130.0

Not much course history to go off so I went for some of the best ball strikers on tour of which Xander is one.

Long way to go and early indications suggest only him and Garcia can win me some money.

Nice bet on Fowler Campioni. Getting paid on a 22/1 shot after 18 holes is bliss. :)

Mate that is some shout, picking Schauffele! I watch a lot of golf and I've never heard of him.

I was trying to go to bed last night but couldn't until I knew Fowler had finished leader. Kept thinking it was safe when the likes of Leishman and Casey dropped off, only to see Schauffele's name creep up the leaderboard. They didn't even show him on tv until his last 2 holes. He had a 10-12 foot putt on the last to draw level with Fowler on -7, thankfully for me he just missed.

The strange thing about the Fowler bet is I'm now thinking I'm gonna have to put money on 1 or 2 players after the cut today as its done and dusted already.

I've just lashed some odds on Si Woo Kim at 25/1. Only two off the pace but he won the Player's a month or so back and at 21 he's got a great temperament. His game needs polishing as you'd expect but with the right attitude on an unconventional US Open course he might just sneak under the radar a bit. He's played solidly so far, he uses the driver off the deck sometimes as well so you have to like him :D

Got a share of a place with Xander Schauffel and about £55 quid back. Better than nowt as it looked like he would miss out altogether.  Ricky Fowler and Justin Thomas blowing up helped.

Schauffel was fucking excellent tee to green all week and was mightily unlucky with a few putts.

Defo one to watch lads, especially on ball strikers courses.

Schauffel is 100/1 this week coming off the back of his T5 at Erin Hills

Tee to Green skills much needed this week by all accounts.

Think 100/1 is generous considering how solid he looked last week.

I've done Casey on Betway at 40/1. Fancy him to go well.

Also really like Stricker EW this week at 125/1 (8 places)

Also on my mate Xander Schaufelle at 200/1 with Skybet.

Couple of quid EW on huge long-shots McGirt and Baddeley (10 places)

Popped a little on Poulter e/w @ 33/1 before the start of his round. He's doing ok. Don't think he can win it but there was no place only option. Had to do e/w.

Great bet on Kjeldsen especially with the wind.

I popped a fiver straight win on him with Betway at 125/1 just after it started on Thursday.  Its a long shot but a few more birdies today and he could be end of round leader if Speith and Koepka don't perform.

But your EW bet looks solid at the moment with more shite weatherr to come.

I couldn't believe those odds for Kjeldsen when I saw them. He has some very solid form round links courses over the last few years and he won the Irish Open at Royal County Down in 2015 in probably worse conditions than this.

I'm a bit surprised at how poor Rose has been. He's usually good at grinding out decent rounds on tough courses but he's going the wrong way at the minute.

EDIT: Think we've just put the kiss of death on Kjeldsen, he's gone bogey, double-bogey at 13 and 14 and back to +1.
