Golf is in South Africa this week. Alfred Dunhill Championship.

Not a bad field. I've gone for EW bets at approx 200-1 each on both Van Der Walts - Dawie and Tjart.

Think I may have a punt on John Parry 1st rd leader too.

Nah I appriciate the help, but yeah the bets on 1/2 :) So unless Rebecca Ferguson comes in the top two (which isn't that much of a shame cos I hate one direction and matt) then I've got Sundays game paid for :)

Little bit worried for you counting your money already to be honest.  You have basically done a £25 R/F on the 2 favourites which is not set in stone to be a winner. It never is.

Those 2 acts are not nailed on winners by a long long chalk.

That said - good luck i hope it pays for you as i aint got a bet in it so couldnt care less who wins or loses.  ;D

Noverre over there,7.00w  14/1
This one went into the notebook oct 09 as should have won the race ,hampered at crucial times,Not a lot of positives if any since then, pulled up on last start so clearly something wrong.2 things that might help is this step up in trp and Adam kirby takes the ride,(good strong jockey)

Runs again today 4.20 33/1 this morn 16s now with the fav out

On Bet365 if you bet the same money on Matt Cardle over One Direction and vice versa you're guaranteed profit (unless one of the two rank outsiders gets in the top two, wont happen)

I've got 25 on each. If one direction beat matt cardle ill get 87.50 plus my 25 back :)
If Matt beats One Direction I'll get 50 plus my 25. So 25 quid profit or 62.50!

dear everyone

NEVER take my betting advice :p

One of my Sporting Life 'Nag Me' alerts tells me that Englishtown is running in the 3.10 Plumpton.

Not done overly well but a drop in class today and AP McCoy getting the ride gives it chances. approx 7-1.

I've backed just the one tonight,
Naheell in the 6.20 at wolves.

It's weighted to win again, it was set far too much last time, and in
this small field today might be payday.

4/1

Snowed in,about a foot out the back,,2 foot out the front so,,,

Through the card at Southwell, the only remaining fixture in Britian,,

12.30 je suis un rockstar,,,Won well on Thursday,,Proven on surface,,Not great price but the one to beat..1/1

1.00 Kumbeshawar,,Won well on Wednesday,,Proven on surface,,Again not a great price but the one to beat..6/4 Castle myth looks decent too

1.30 Diggerrat ,Another in form winning on Thursday,Yet again not a great price 11/8
e/w doubl, treble

2.05 Looks trappy,Small chance taken on Johannesgray, ran well on Tuesday,Trainer/jockey in form

2.40 Thunderball Same trainer/jock as above ,Back to 7f from a mile,,may do well if he can keep going from the front..ew 12/1

3.10 Ballyvonane,,outsider but has won a race at big oods before, personal reasons for backing this ,,,12/1 ew

good luck

Interesting little bet.

The draw for South Africa - India is 18.00 on Betfair. They've just gone off after an intense thunderstorm with more rain expected, and only one day remaining.

Just had a text from my friends who are working at the Test, and there's a belief that there'll be more rain tomorrow. South Africa still need to take 2 Indian wickets, with Sreesanth and Tendulkar still in.

If there is more than an hour's worth of play, a South African victory is inevitable.

But this is one I've taken a risk on, not for massive stakes, but it's more likely to be a draw than 17/1 would indicate.

Interesting indeed,,,had a nibble at 14s..thanks

I reckon Mccoy's far too short tonight.  Just have doubts if he's well known enough to the general public to win this.

Obviously the National is massive, but then so are the Ryder Cup and Ashes.

Dettori didn't win after his magnificent 7 and he was more of a personality and better known to the public.  I know there's been a huge push for Mccoy but that's been mostly in racing circles, and although i'd love him to win it, his price is far too short in my opinion.
Didi Hamann

In the corridors and changing rooms of Anfield I met many people - the great, the talented, the legendary.  I know that I only met one genius.  He was a small, smiling man with a neatly clipped beard.  His name was Rafael Benitez.
