Decent little watch that, more quality in the Bayern game, but a lot of great players out there. Brought back some great memories.

Berger's beard is from the same stable as Roy Keane's. They'd make a great pair of Old Testament prophets, in Roy's case a hellfire and brimstone prophet.

What a club - miss watching a few of these in the red shirt. Stevie is still so good.

Milan could have made it harder but played a part in making it such a good day out

Totally agree.

Not sure how his body would hold up to a full season but he'd certainly be able to contribute at a decent level.

Good watch that, enjoyed it. Excellent 3 points

Not sure about Gerrard, think he could probably still mix it up as a sub against the bottom teams in the league and one or two FA Cup games but nothing beyond that.

I missed Rush in his prime with us, but Fowler is the best finisher I’ve seen play for us. Everyone wanks over Mbappe, but you put a 19 year old Fowler in that PSG team and he’s scoring 50 goals a season.

Really enjoyed it. Took my lad for his 1st game at Anfield. Just watched the last 10mins on LFCTV and seen ourselves on the kop celebrating when Stevie bagged the winner.
Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

I missed Rush in his prime with us, but Fowler is the best finisher I’ve seen play for us.
I doubt football will ever see that again mate, a local lad with world class goal scoring talent be replaced by arguably a better local lad with world class scoring talent.

I’m lucky that most people I talk football with are either reds or pretty knowledgable, so they generally how good Fowler was. The bloke was absolutely ridiculous before his injuries, wasn’t really a type of goal he didn’t score.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I have enjoyed these games over the last few years, can get a ittle bit emotional. My fav bit of this year is seeing Hyypia in red again. We are so lucky over the years to have had such great players and great men.

I dont think anything will beat last years game and Aldridge falling over twice in 2 minutes.

He could walk on and still make decisive actions in the game. Of course, not week in and week out like he used to, but yeah, he can play every now & then. He was not totally out of shape at all.

He probably could but would he want to?

For me that would be like caging a tiger, cruel and unnecessary.
