By that estimate, they should let us out some time around midnight. There seems to be a metro stop about a mile away, r

Also, whereabouts in the city is the pitch where you played the Inter lads last time 'round? Finally, where's this hotel that iLFC stayed in during their visit?

The pitch was a fair way out, the milan lads picked us up from the hotel in various car trips. As for the hotel, great location, cheap and basic but I have no idea what it was called or where it was!! Nige is the man for that, I think he booked all rooms for us?

OK, end of hols and the arranging started today.

Our match will be Monday March 10th KO 9pm, then off to a pub (which serves food) with the Inter boys afterwards. Too early to talk about location of pitch but of course it's likely to be on the edge of town like last time so don't take that into account when thinking about accomodation. We'll meet up about 7.30pm in the centre to travel together. With any luck some or all of us will get lifts again there and back (to the pub after) cos the distances by taxi will be considerable.

And for those asking about what to do at midnight after the proper match on Tuesday, when Milano will be basically closed, Luca says his mates' pub will stay open for us ... the owner is a Milanista* too so he'll be extra grateful if we win ;-) He was open till 5am for the Mancs after the semi in May. Basically it's the owner of that place we went last time and he's gone a bit more up-market sports-pubby, just been on his website but I'm not putting the name, address or link here yet for obvious reasons.

That's the good news then. the only slight downer is that these boys will only be in L'pool on a very brief day trip, so no home leg with this lot, though I am still hopeful of getting together with another group of Interistas on Feb 18th/19th

So, about the hotel. Not thought about it at all yet. Who wants to go in together like last time in a cheap hotel then ? Need to get booked up early 'cos once again it's trade fair season ...I'll look for a similar place to last time ... last time we had about 2 or 3 doubles, couple of trebles and one quadruple I think .... As always, cheapness is my over-riding criterion, followed by centrality ....prices to follow shortly !

*just noticed on the pub's website he proudly and obsessively lists over100 clubs whose scarves are on his wall, the majority English & scottish ... ... Liverpool very pointedly is not amongst them...dunno if that's cos of Istanbul '05, or our visit in '06 (hope not) or the fact that the Mancs spent about 4000 Euros in his bar in May '07

Just booked flights, will be there from sunday so will be fine if needed. Three of us goin, i'll get in this hotel if its goin, dont wanna geg in tho nd feel like im not in the gang *bows head and kicks the ground* Seriously though, any tips on cheap hotels would be sound cos am strugglin to find any cheap places.

Erm one left midfield, one central midfield. Not sure if they're keen on playin. They'll defo play if needed tho i should imagine, i'll play if u need me to play like. whats the standard likely to be like? Joe90, hard to judge the standard as obviously the team only gels during the game but once we got it together I think we played like a half-decent Saturday side in Barcelona.

OK, we'll bear your mates in mind if we need to ask; however, if you can get the sh*t-hot mate to make it, that would be absolutely grand.

Right, has anyone seen/heard from Nige? Just wandering about that hotel he mentioned - whether anything's happening or I should get off my *rse and book something myself.
