He was back in the Argentina squad in January 2022. He was good in the 2nd half of last season. We could have approached him it would have saved alot of money. He started this season very well & signed new deal end of october. If we showed interest he would not have signed a new deal. Seems the WC was when we got interested in him. Just not very clever.

There is no way clubs didn't approach his agent to try to get him for free even us normal fans here we were talking about how stupid this move is when he extended his contract . The way I see it he made up his mind he will leave but wanted Brighton to get a fee instead of nothing which explains the agreement they had. That's why I don't believe the rumored fee , I bet it is way way lower.

Turning their nose up at Dyche on GOT, maybe their expecting Ancelotti to be free again?
Bloody hell. They finish a miserable 17th and still have ideas way above their station.  :rollseyes :rollseyes

I suppose the question Klopp might ask is why that space is there to begin with. Fabinho's never been fast, but it's rare that he's been left with so much space to cover in previous years. He's technically playing LDM there, and the RDM has just lost the ball on the edge of the opposition penalty area. Who is responsible for covering that area? Fabinho has a lot of ground to cover, and the only mistake he makes is not fully committing to the tackle.

I think that clip shows us that we have a lot of work to do with this system. Between the RCB, RDM/RB, CDM, RCM it's an absolute mess in transitions.
Honestly wtf are trent and Gomez doing there. He took a bad angle and got outpaced but trent vacated the MF space that now fabinho has to cover and does a terrible job of pressing it. Gomez is pulling a sktrel running away the ball. Also like 3% chance of scoring that goal too lol.
It really is shocking to look at. That massive hole on the right there- filled with Southampton players salivating for the ball, as well as the other holes in midfield.. then players legging it back, while the defense is in disarray and Gomez backing off into eternity. One pass and we were destroyed.
It's a messed up soup of blinders upon errors.

Finished 17 in the RAWK league and 34,740 overall in the world. My highest ever finish.

Until next season ladies and gents!

I reckon we wont bother signing one. Dont think the club sees it as a priority at all. Will be MacAllister and one other CM, a defender and that's pretty much it. Loads of links, talks, monitoring etc etc will lead to the usual thrifty approach of not spending enough and reason 17483934847 we cant spend will gloriously emerge, if it wasn't for that meddling lack CL football

Reports of no CL football scuppering our plans will come out and all the 'saving for a big summer' stuff will slowly back into a hedge in a fashion Homer Simpson would be proud of.

It's almost like we've seen it before.

In a nutshell.

Too many people view our relative 'lack' of trophies under Jurgen though the lens of FSG, instead of through the lens of Man City. 115 charges of fraud, corruption, and cheating (with more evidence still to come out from 2018-2023), means that many people are aiming their frustrations at entirely the wrong target.

We win the league by a mile in 2018/19 and 2021/22 without City's dominance, and we also don't have a season like this one if we hadn't needed to perform at superhuman levels for 5 seasons in a row.

What has City got to do with LFC being hundreds of million away from FFP limits. What has City got to do with FSGs choice to invest in infrastructure that they ultimately own instead of players when the squad had gaping holes in it.

For me if we had won the League in 13-14 then there is every possibility that FSG would have turned the taps off earlier and invested even more revenues into infrastructure. We would have just plodded along doing just enough to be semi competitive.

What has City got to do with FSG failing to invest properly in centre backs in 20-21 or midfield players this season. What has City got to do with scuppering any chances of a competitive season by pretending we were signing Bellingham and then pulling out.

What has City got to do with FSG wanting to destroy European football with a closed league that would allow them to invest less and earn even more.

It should be about being the best team you can possibly be whilst staying within FFP. Instead with FSG it is about being the richest owners you can be without taking any risk. Yet there will still be hordes willing to defend that profiteering.

Shame on them and shame on the people willing to defend their policy of putting so little in whilst looking for billions in profit when they finally cash in. Suppose that is City's fault as well.

Spoiler
I think that it’s just like the rest of this wonderful show - everyone is a multitude and there are numerous ways that their actions can be interpreted. A nicer way of looking at it is that Shiv chose to become her mother so that Kendall didn’t become his father. That last shot where Kendall is staring out at the water and then the cut to black - we don’t know what happens to him now. I hope he eventually realises that this means he’s free.

Well, they certainly stuck the landing.

Spoiler
So much brilliant stuff in there. The scene in the kitchen with the sibs might have been my favourite scene in the whole show, just the three of them goofing off and enjoying each other. Of course, it couldn’t last.

The three of them watching the recording of the dinner party and Karl singing. That really got me, as it got them - grief has a way of creeping up on you and everything in that scene was perfectly pitched.

Then it all came tumbling down. Of course Shiv couldn’t back Kendall. In the end, she just didn’t think he was good enough and she couldn’t get over it not being her. What a scene that was between the three of them. Kendall’s ‘I’m the eldest boy’ was one of the most pathetic things I’ve ever heard and he was despicable when he attacked Roman, who finally looks free in the end. Oh, and in the moment he couldn’t even remember about killing that boy… just totally buried that. Not a real person indeed.

Tom getting the big job is incidental to me, but a fun way to go. He knows who he is, and at least has strived to get to where he is and not been handed it all like the kids.

The sticker on Greg’s forehead  :D

Also, should have known the show would end with Ken and water. It’s been the biggest recurring motif across all four seasons. [\spoiler]

I know everyone knows we need a DM, but do people here think we’re actually going to sign one this summer?
