Today the chickens came home to roost. Are we still bedwetting or are we actually now allowed to offer a fair critique on the state of the squad and the appalling negligence that took place in the summer by one Jurgen Klopp?

It still baffles me that some of our fans actually thought we had a good summer. One first teamer, maybe Real Madrid can get away with that but not a side that scraped 4th.

Its sad that Mignolet and Lovren are more likely to get new deals than be replaced.

I would also love for Klopp to finally name these 5 CBs? I reckon Spurs by themselves have 5.

What makes it hurt so much is that most of this was so entirely predictable and thus avoidable. As is our inevitable 6th placed finish.

Maybe after today the penny will have dropped and I will finally get the full clear out I have hoped for, for 3 seasons

Loada fucking shite. Had a stream that kept cutting out and couldn't be bothered to find a better one, that's how fucking shite that was. Once the third went in just before ht, that was it really.

Fair play Spurs, they're a very good side. We were pretty bloody poor though. Can't wait for this week's installment of the media's continual Harry Kane jizzfest.

Don't think any of us should be surprised to be honest. We neglected our biggest weaknesses during the summer and now our chickens are coming home to roost. Hopefully Jurgen and the others involved in our planning and player recruitment learn from this and set it all straight next summer.

Don't even think Spurs played that well to be honest, we're just comically shite at defending.
We had some decent chances but Lloris just showed what having a good keeper actually does for a team.

Klopp has brought it on himself by completely fucking up in the summer.
He won't go this season, well probably not, but to see our season over in October, undone by something that everyone could foresee and predict - it fucking hurts. I don't feel anything any longer for this team nor this manager. I have no time to watch people regress and shoot themselves in the foot. Let me know when they decide to take it seriously - in the meantime they can pretend to be a club, pretend to be a team and we'll pretend to be supporters - but it's all bullshit.

The good thing about games like today is that Jurgen can no longer argue that the likes of Lovren and Mignolet are good enough.

To say so would make him look stupid rather than negligent.

What a waste of a season. Thankfully Chelsea and Arsenal are no great shakes.

Goalkeeping and defensive issues was not sorted in the summer, Klopp and the club tried to be cocky about the situation and it has backfired big time. How on earth are Mignolet and Lovren still playing week in week out at this club is beyond me.

No character, no leadership, 12 points off the top after only 9 games in the season, it's an absolute fucking shambles.

Klopp needs to pull his finger out, stop with the hugs and go on a ruthless streak and make some major changes. Lovren should never be seen in a red shirt again, and Matip is just nowhere near as good as we all thought he may become. The defense is an absolute shambles and the midfield has the creativity of a Pulis side. Changes must be made in January or these same players that keep letting him down time after time are eventually going to end up costing his job. You just can't polish a turd no matter how hard you try. Too many players in this side aren't good enough, and we're in serious trouble. This has the makings of another 'transition' season you feel, where all our rivals have become better but we've actually managed to regress.

Absolutely. Klopp stopped him going to Huddersfield for the season on loan where he would have had a full season of Prem footy. Play the lad then as the other 2 are patently not up to it.

We really know how to build on CL qualification don't we, we really set about consolidating that place in the top 4 and making sure we've got that platform to build on again the following summer. We never piss away all the previous seasons hard work.

Our focal striker wasn't near the league leaders last year either, but we play with a different set up. Kind for you to ignore that Salah has 5 goals in the league.
